    Side view mirror glass replacement

Anyone know where I can source a side view mirror glass replacement (driver side), and replacement instructions? I got some scratches on mine and I see that B7 and other similar glass is a pretty cheap part. I just can't find it for the B8, nor can I find any threads on replacing the glass.

I guess I'd be looking for something like this:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/PASSENGER-Ri...289a79&vxp=mtr

By the way, I tried fixing the scratches using this method:
    http://www.ehow.com/how_5859271_repa...scratches.html

1 Spray glass cleaner on the mirror and wipe it off with a soft cloth, especially cleaning around the area of the small scratch.

2 Apply toothpaste to a cotton swab and rub the cotton swab in small circles the total length of the scratch so that it is completely covered with the toothpaste. Use regular toothpaste; don't use gel.

3 Allow the toothpaste four hours to dry and crust.

4 Wipe the toothpaste off the scratch with a soft cloth. The scratch should be gone.

5 Repeat this process for other scratches.
Yeah, the reason you can't see the scratches anymore after you use the toothpaste method is because your mirror is covered in crusty god damn toothpaste.

    Didn't work for me anyway...

    No, thank God...

    mirror glass w/memory Left: $253.07
mirror glass w/o memory Left: $85.71

I take it left is driver's side.

The eBay ones are much cheaper, I guess I need to look around. Any idea how to replace? Do you just pop it?

I have a set from my 2013 S4, auto dimming and heated. I swapped them for the euro blind spot mirrors. Pm me if you need the driver side.

Did you ever figure out instructions on how to fit the new mirror in?
