Car shakes when I lift off and get back on the gas pedal. Help!

So I like the title says when I'm driving and lift off the gas pedal to slow down the car shakes a little and then shakes again when I get back on the gas pedal. I'm guessing the CV joints have gone bad. Any help is appreciated!!

Mine does this sometimes when I let off the gas, it sounds/feels like a jake brake. I was thinking throughout or pilot bearing.

Make sure your wheel bolts are tight. Also, a bad inner CV joint can cause this, check for rotational play in joints.

Either axles or tie rods. Definitely pull the wheels off and do some inspecting.

I'm experiencing this and KNOW it's my CV Boot and left front axle. Having it replaced soon and hope it does the trick :) Good luck though...

Look for grease slung around inside your wheel or partially inside the engine bay on the inner driveshaft boots as other have mentioned. If you have grease all over you are looking at rebuilding or replacing an axle.

^^This is a dead give away on a torn boot. Here's another way to diagnose a bad axle if you don't have grease everywhere.
