    Replacement Wiper Blades DIY

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi everyone,

It's time to replace wiper blades on my 2011 A4 Sedan. The dealer quoted me $110, but that seems very steep.

Two questions for those who have done it:
    1. What place online did you buy your wiper blades from?
    2. Is it this simple to install on the B8 A4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4C8fyjWPwA

    Thanks!

Exactly what I used in the post above. Simple to change.

I paid $30 on amazon for Bosch Aerotwins (PN 3397007297). Been happy with them in both rain and snow. Didn't watch the video you posted, but install is literally less than 5 mins.

Dealer quoted me $56. Your dealer hates you.

$110 seems pretty steep. I actually went to my dealer and bought the pieces and installed them myself. It was ~$50-60, in my research it was similar to the prices I found online.

The install is pretty straight forward.

    Thanks.

    2.You are kidding, right?
The procedure varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and I've never changed it on an Audi. I just wanted to make sure it's the same.
    Thanks!

Well, that would make sense then. The dealer quote of 110 probably includes labor and taxes with labor rounded to the first working UOM whether it be 1/2 hour or hour.

I just buy them on rock auto. Not sure why a DIY is needed for wiper blades. Its easier than making a PB&J

Im just glad nobody used the phrase "modding the wiper blades" yet.
Changing the blades is a good diy to save a few bucks. Somehow dealers can get away with charging 0'3 hrs for it. Sucker born every minute I guess

I'll start up a thread once I get my LED strips installed on the wiper blades
