What up SoCal! Powder Coating Wheels

Hello,

I new to this site, my name is Don and I am on my fourth Audi... just moved from an A5 to the fastest and newest Audi I have ever owned, a 2013 S4 Premium Plus. I just got the windows tinted today and was thinking about powder coating the wheels Black... does anyone know a reputable powder coater in Orange County?

I've used Worco Powder Coating in Long Beach to do 3 different sets of wheels . They don't have a website, but just google them.

Note, don't do Glossy Black on your wheels like i previously did since brake dust will show way too easily . Like, it'll show after 10 minutes of driving...

how long does it take? i found a guy on craigslist who was reasonable but wanted like 3 days to do it.

and how much did you guys pay? Matte black FTW right?

Whats the price range per rim to get them coated?

I think I paid like $125ish/wheel which includes bead blasting prior to the powder coating. This was back in 2007 at Worco. If you can get the wheel bead blasted elsewhere, you can probably get the price reduced

I just recently had my new bbs's coated by Primo here in HB. Dan is the owner, with his wife Debbie. They did a pretty good job, even tho they didn't listen to me about covering over the bolt holes for the 2 piece... but whatever, just made it more work for me. But the powdercoating looks good, and the price was pretty decent. I paid 105 a wheel (45 for the face, 60 for the barrel), so your one piece wheels should be cheaper.

They also have a service of having your wheels powdercoated in one day.. Drop your car off in the morning, and pick it up afterwork with freshly coated wheels..

Thanks dude, first white car and I love it thus far... just not 100% sure about doing the wheels black... might be too gangster for the family... just found out we're pregnant hahahah... glad I went with the four door

Thanks bro...I looked at Primo on Yelp and there are mixed reviews... mostly good but just like your experience a little "off" if you know what I mean... makes me apprehensive.
