    anyone have alzor wheels?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
are the alzor wheels any good? they make audi replica wheels on ECS tuning, i believe they are ECS's brand.
if anyone has them, how are they? they are priced good but how heavy are they and how strong ect...
any feedback before i order some?

also what ET will i need to order? car is a narrowbody 2.8
ST coilovers will be going with the wheels.

    any help appreciated!

They are cheap.. typically cheap wheels aren't great. I wouldn't worry too much about running them as long as you have a decent amount of rubber between them and the road, you avoid potholes like a boss, and don't hit the track. For that I would say they're fine.

The roads here arent the best. Thats why im looking for 18's vs 19's. So i can have a little more tire.
I need some help with wheels.first time going low+wheels. Def. dont want wheels breaking on the highway if i hit a small pothole.

spend the extra $$$ get VMRs...19s for $700-$800 isn't all that bad and the quality is proven.

Alzor and vmr both pass the same quality inspections. I might buy some just to run for the summer.

i need help selecting the correct size. if anyone wants to help out that would be dope.

the reason why i was looking at the alzors is because it gives me more wiggle room to buy good tires.
but if anyone has owned alzors/and or VMR and can chime in on if they are strong/light enough. if the VMR's are lighter and stronger then thats a no brainer, but i have no idea because you cant see and feel them in person unless you buy them.

if i buy $800 wheels and $600 tires thats $1400. if i have to then i will as long as the quality is there.

on my local craigslist people are selling a shit load of replica wheels for super cheap but i dont know the quality or brand that makes them.
and ppl even sell used S4 18's for that much.so might as well buy brand new wheels. unless someone on here is in norcal and wants to give me a great deal on some 18s :)

I'll be getting alzor wheels for my car(s) as I can't justify spending much more for my 3.0

We have yet to hear any negative feed back on Alzor's. As Widebody4.2 posted these pass all the same safety and quality control tests and certifications as any other Japanese wheel.

If any one has any specific questions regarding these wheels please let me know and I'll be happy to help.

    Euromob,

I purchased a set from ECS in March for my son's 17th birthday present. They are fitted to his A4 Avant. His Audi drives very well on them. No issues at all. Big smile on my son's face He loves them, and for the money you can't go wrong. Here's a photo or two.... Regards, Paul

Jason, will Alzor 620 wheels clear the calipers on an ECS stage 4 brake kit without spacers?

I doubt it. Many Alzor's don't even clear B5 S4 brakes with out spacers.

Another nice thing is that they have 17s, www.oemwheelsplus.com smallest size was 18. I have some tires on oem audi B6 17s that I want to just move over to some new wheels on my B5 since the B6 wheels are all scratched up and missing center caps (which are $60+ each from the dealer). ECS has the 17" option, ball seat, and include hubcentric rings, deal-maker for me, now if they could just get them in stock then I would be a happy camper, I have had them on order for 2 months. I fugured $240 in center caps for wheels that are all scratched is not worth it when I could get Alzors in the same size for right around $400 shipped.

I just cancelled my order, they keep delaying the availability date and I'll be traveling internationally for work for the next few months, I don't have time to wait any longer. I ordered these March 1st with an expected delivery date in May. Now we're into July.

They're a good value, maybe I'll reconsider once I get back from brazil.

It could have been when we thought they would go out. Unfortunately when product comes from over seas its really hard to judge arrival times so we do our best to give an estimate. It can most definitely change though. Sometimes earlier some times later. I myself have actually had a wheel order in since March as well. I currently only have 2 of the wheels I ordered. I should have had the last two about 2 weeks ago but all the wheels in the container were damaged and could not be sold. This like this happen and cause delays - not saying that's what happened on your occasion but it's always a possibility. Then you have to wait on wheel manufacturers to send more wheels or make them which can also take time.

Regardless we have under 10 sets left until they go out of stock.

Even though OP is terminated (thank god)..

No problems yet. They ride well. I rocked a hell of a pothole the other day and thought my tire was going to bust but these wheels seem to have held up well. No vibrations yet. I called in and placed my order and the sales rep said it was a good thing called as it helped me out in getting them faster in some way. Quick shipping for such large boxes too.

Got my Alzor 628's in 19". 45mm offset is about what I was looking for. on my '14 S4. Shipping was super fast, and I was actually quite impressed with the quality of the shipping/packing. I popped in the OEM center caps after a touch of massaging. I obviously can't speak to the long-term quality but my fingers are crossed.

    Jason... I'm looking to grab a set of these wheels. I have a 2004 A6 S-Line...

I keep seeing warnings about certain Alzor wheels not fitting the brakes? I'm looking for something with a bit of a lip, in 18". Can be square or staggered. Any recommendations? I like the old school dished euro look, not the new school concave stuff.

Edit: Forgot to add, I'm not totally against spacers, but would really prefer to avoid them.

I wouldn't say it's limited to just Alzor's. Running the proper offset on an aftermarket wheel will always reduce the risk of them hitting the brakes. Dished wheels tend to be touchier as the pokes are straight up and down and not curved like some designs.

Currently they only style Alzor's we have with lips are the 020, 881, and 010. All three of these styles are available in a verity of different widths and offsets. We do test fit most wheels before applicating them to a specific vehicle so chances are if you don't see it under your specific vehicle it doesn't fit.

Looks like most size 881's require a spacer to clear the brakes. A6's that use the B5 S4 front calipers make wheel fitment complicated due to how wide they are.

I would like to get Alzors but I also want to hit the track about 3 times a year so I am not sure. In a general question about wheels, my tires are 245/40 R18. Which offset and Et do I need?

    Thanks!

Which style wheel? We have quite a selection of different designs so asking which offset is a very vague question.

Not bad wheels in my experience, but the finish on them is somewhat sub-par and will scratch very easily. I'm talking rub them with a cloth while they have road dust on them and it will leave fine scratches. Not sure if it's just my model or set (I bought 349's in 18 x 8 ET35), but somewhat disappointing.

I had the same 349 wheels and would agree with them having a softer finish. Just had to be careful washing them.

    Hey Jason,

Another Jason here :P I'm looking at the Alzor 628 in 18x8 for my B7 Avant 2.0T. Should i get ET35 or ET45? I'd like mine to be flush with the fenders and probably don't plan on lowering my car. My current wheels are the OEM 17" ones that are 17x7.5 et45 and the wheels are about a half inch from being flush with fenders.

    Regards,
    Jay

ET35 will fit further out than an ET45
