Having trouble sourcing this dang thing:( ecs (long wait), called vw parts, all the autozones etc. Snap-on has it but to buy/ship overnight is way expensive:(
Any other ideas guys??? I need that head off ASAP in order to get inventory of parts so I can do this job this weekend:(

Check with your local Napa store, give them this number CHT SLTS3810M, they can generally get stuff next day.

EDIT: are you sure that kit you got will work on the head, i think you will have clearance issues.

I double checked, they said it was 160mm 155 is the standard from what I've seen. Not sure how they measure it but I think if its over 155 I'm good!

AutoZone has a set of 4 but they are just bits that you need to put into a regular socket but you need to go into the store because the people there have no idea what a triple square is.

Second option is driving out to I-55 & Harlem Ave to a store called Tool Store and they sell a set there for about $20.

In my experience all the Lisle and other autozone/napa/advance auto tools are junk. I've broken many of those shitty 12 points they sell.

I own a lot of metalnerd tools, they seem to hold up well and are always the right length for the job on an Audi. Nice customer service too.

Get a hold of a local tool rep like Snap-On, Mac tools, Cornwell. I have a set that I got from my Cornwell guy not to long ago. It was like $55 and he had them on the truck, plus they're lifetime sockets so if they ever strip I can just get it replaced.

    Wrong PN:
CHT SR38M10 for short to do cam adjuster:
    https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/CHQSR38M10#

CHT SLR38M10 for long. Not sure long enough for head bolts:
    https://www.amazon.com/Tools-V3452-H...dp/B000PH6VLU/

No stores have in stock in CT an none in warehouse either. Closest one would be from FL or GA.

For head bolts I bought this:
    https://www.amazon.com/Tools-V3452-H...dp/B000PH6VLU/

Was going to buy polydrive kit on amazon
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...QRT5FP7U&psc=1

thou IDK if would ever need anything but M10 and ordered torx kit by mistake.

Trying to find a short one today to do exhaust cam bolt but not sure anyone has in stock.

ECS has good price on Schwaben if you do not have to pay for shipping:
    https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben.../026761sch01a/

I think I am just going to cut the long one that I have and use in a socket.
