How much does your RS4 cost per month?

So I've been creeping around the s4 forums due to me being obsessed with them and trying to find one that fits my ridiculous requirements of being perfect and I'm thinking why not just spend the extra money and get a even better car. I saw the "how much does your s4 cost per month" thread and I couldn't find a rs4 one. So how much is insurance,gas, and your payment per month or did you just buy the car outright. All input is welcome

I paid cash. (Well, a certified bank check...)

Insurance went up, but I kept my other ride, so that is to be expected.

Regarding perfection, I found an uber clean, and 100% stock example. More miles than I wanted (40k), but not bad for a 5 year old vehicle.

Also paid cash money, so no payment. Insurance is not crazy and was a minimal increase over my last ride (R32). Car came with prepaid maintenance through 75k, so have avoided that cost, but it looms on the horizon. The killah is gas. I am averaging only about 18mpg with a mostly highway commute, so about $300 per month for me.

Call your insurance company and get a quote, do the math on payments given a price of $35-40k, do the math on fuel given your planned mileage, and plan for 2X maintenance costs (oil change, tires, brakes, etc) over whatever you drive now, assuming it is sub-exotic.

Roughly 950 a month. Then throw in a oil change (did one today) and thats about 135.

I think you should plan to spend about 1k a month ball park if you are to finance mid 30s.


And then...if you plan on modding all those numbers go out the window. Winter tires alone on the stock wheels run 1k-1.2k

Well this question is kinda personal because they are all personal variables.

Payment will depend on what you put down and how much the car costs (obviously)

Gas cost will depend on how much you drive (obviously) I get about 16mpg in mixed driving

Insurance will depend on your driving history and your provider.

Hard for any of us to estimate what its going to cost you to own an RS4 and like Xalfa said... if you have to ask....

For me: Running costs are approx $640/month. I think around $500 of that is gas alone. Doesn't include the purchase price of the car.

RS4s are expensive in Oz, mine cost me $100k when it was 5 yrs old.

I'm doing around 1000kms per month.

My only regular costs are:

Insurance $125/m
Fuel $280/m
registration/Third party insurance $50/m

I spend around $600 on a service every 6 months or so and new tyres $$1200 every 2 years

so that averages out at around $600/m (not including toys)

fortunately its a company car, so work pays for all of it
