    Audi rs5 engine is the same as audi rs4 b7??

    Hi can can anyone tell me if the Audi b7 rs4 has the SAME ENGINE BLOCK as the Audi rs5?? i want to know if the block is the same?? can any help??

    I believe rs5 is more related to the 5.2 v10 with just two fewer cylinders

    Has stated above..more related to the v10 5.2.

    Different heads, intake manifold, throttle bodies blah blah..I could be wrong. Meow!

    As stated above. It's an entirely different block. Many reviewers have incorrectly stated that it is based on the b7 4.2 v8, but it is based on the 5.2 v10 as stated. It produces more hp obviously and peek torque comes in at 4000 rpm as opposed to 5500 in the RS4.

    They are entirely unrelated. People make the wrong assumption simply because they share displacement figures. There is a quote out there from the pres of quattro to validate this.

    B7 RS4 engine --> R8 V8 engine--> R8 V10 engine--> B8 RS engine would be more complete (may need to sprinkle some Gallardo in there too).
