    Why are the 19" wheels called peelers?

    My understanding is because they look like potato peelers.

    Because the spokes look like the blade of a vegetable peeler. Look in your kitchen drawer and compare - you'll never look at those wheels the same way again!

    I had the same question when I joined this forum. At first I thought it was some weird euro-slang for tires. Then I caught a sideways glance of my wheels and thought to myself "wow, the spokes kinda look li....WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!"

    I don't know why I bought the 19's. I can't wait to sell them and I haven't even seen them on my car. I just can't really find a set of wheels I like. I'm hoping VMR or Hartmann makes B8 RS4 replicas soon.

    haha yep! Exactly one of the thoughts I had. The other was that (cover your kid's eyes) you have to peel a rubber off your dick, and tires are made of rubber and often referred to as "rubbers", so why not call rubbers "peelers" lol
