    Coolant hose diagram?

Hey, my coolant hose snapped and I found a 2001 A6 with 2.7t. Not sure if it's the same engine as my 2001 allroad but it looks exactly the same. I know there were two types of 2.7t. Anyways The hose that is connected to the top of the radiator on the driver's side of the car goes to the little T hose that goes to the resevoir, and then the big part goes all the way down to the block. Where exactly is it going to, how is it connected and how can I get it out easily?

Here you go. It's a pretty straightforward, albeit complex system. The hose you are talking about goes directly into the engine block, just under the #4 cylinder. There is a spring "C" clip and 0-ring holding it in place and sealing it......and it's a PITFA to get at without extricating the engine. The tight space to work on makes this task NOT FUN at all. I suggest you also remove the driver's side fender liner and give it all you got, mate:

Part # is: N 906 930 01. Easy to replace. Make sure coolant is out of the tank, when exchanging.
