Hi, I changed oil in my A4 B8 and because there is not oil measure pipe but just computer measurement I put there 5 L according user guide. Now I have MAX on my computer and I'm afraid if there is not over full of the oil and there can't be something damaged because this. May I buy measure pipe or I'm ok ale with 5L in engine ?! Stupid thing. On my any old car there was measure device inside engine everytime.

Thnx and I'm not ok if there is chance for engine damage. Somewhere I read that maximum is 4.3 L I'm scared.

Over-filling the oil can cause damage to your catalytic converter and or DPF, so make sure you have the quantity correct. I recall it being 4,3l for the 2.0tdi.

As far as I know there is no direct replacement dip stick for these cars. I'd love to have one as well! I thought about getting a dip stick meant for the 2.0tfsi but I'm not sure if the lengths are the same.

when you say oil change, you completely drained out all the oil and then filled in 5L right? if so that is fine, the car takes 5L i think, thats what i filled after an oil change.

also for future reference, that oil level screen on the MMI computer, that bar only shows 1 quart, not the full oil. so whenever that bar is empty the car will tell you to top up with 1qt of oil, when this happens just fill in 1qt oil, no need to drain older oil, the old oil burns out and you top up again with 1qt.

dont worry about it going empty, just keep an extra bottle or two of oil in the trunk all the time as extra and whenever you get the oil empty message just fill 1qt.
