Hatmann is a reputable rep manufacture distributed by achtuning

    http://shop.achtuning.com/search.asp...se&category=55

VMR also makes an RS4 rep. Ive heard up and down things on them.

i mean all the wheels look accurate....i just prefer to go with the flow.

buying from a place like that where there hasnt been much review on here makes me a little uncomfortable....to each is own though!

Honestly, I'd go with Hartmann they are more reputable in this situation.

*shudder* Hope you got a "deal" and not one of those $4K "OEM WINTER PACKAGES!" that wind up being $900 / wheel excluding tires lol.

    You be the judge.

Y-spoke rims i don't have a proper pic with them fitted on my car. (posted the one i did if someone should be unclear of what rim i was talking about)

cost me around 8000 USD with tires fitted. (these are norwegian prices, converted to USD)

I went with a set of Hartmanns... two sets actually (summer and winter). They might cost a little more, but I've been super happy with the quality and strength. I believe they also have a slight more aggressive offset than what you find with the factory Audi wheels.

Both sets have held up well here in Colorado on many roads that are less than desirable.

You will probably get what you pay for. Why not get something other than OEM. Why look the same as everyone else?

As everyone above recommended Hartmann, Check with Achtuning, sometimes they have slightly blemished wheels at a good discount and even if they don't they may have some OEM wheels on hand, I sold mine to them and then bought Hartmanns.

oh I understand the same car is well over 100K USD in Norway. I just have a hard time believing any due diligence would result in something a little more...reasonable?
Then again, even if you could find for 2K + 1K shipping, I'd imagine VAT would double it at the border.

But, I'll never grasp the allure of "OEM LICENSE PLATE BULBS!" @ $60 either, so I guess it's just two different pages.

I never said they weren't "worth" whatever people want to spend,
I was just stating that since I don't see the allure of OEM light bulbs, my position on spending $8K on OEM wheels is somewhat irrelevant, though I don't think I'm the only one who seemed shock at the difference.

(contrary to your belief, I do know the best places to live often offer some sticker shock to North American counterparts)

Whatcha all think about for the price? And would that fit a 2012 B8? Although those are 19" I'd have to buy new tires too.....

What do they mean by refinished, and why would they be refinished if they are brand new OEM orare they used and refinshed?

used and refinished. they come off of lease turn ins, sandy damaged cars, cars that are totalled, etc. since i wanted peelers i could either buy from the classfieds for 800-900 bucks used with damage, mounted with rubber, and pay to have 1-2 wheels refinished anyway or i could pay 1060 shipped to my door for 4 used refinished wheels with no damage. buying from them made sense to me.

i was reluctant to buy from them at first since i spotted them on ebay, but when they showed up i was pleasantly surprised. they carry like a 99.9% feedback rate on their ebay store

same boat as me. i would like to keep my car for 2-4 years and i figure oem wheels will always be easier to resell than replicas. i figure i can get a few bucks out of my oem's after a few years. peelers in the classifieds seem to sell quick, so do those a5 y-spoke's

411...I picked up OEM peelers with less than 50 miles on them for $1k shipped on eBay.
No need to buy refinished when they're plenty of untouched OEM's selling for the same price.

Trying different search criteria helps too.

My original reply on this thread didn't have any pricing in them, i just stated that i got mine ordered from the Audi factory via my Audi dealer here in Norway. Prices varies from country to country. we all know that.
Norway is insane when it comes to taxing imports. and as far as i know we don't have a single rim manufacturer so import is the key.

but since some here seems to be reacting on the price i just want to point out it's 8 rims with 8 tires fitted on them.
tires in Norway costs a lot when you start going up in dimensions

my winter tires cost me around 1400 USD. i know there are a lot cheaper alternatives on tires. but so far I've had them for two winter seasons, and by the looks of it i might have them for 3 more.
so i find it worth the money when the quality is of this nature.
Summer tired are priced 1600 USD. probably good for 2 more seasons.

    So 5000 USD for the 4 Rs6-II and the 4 Y-spoke A5 rims.

It was merely a suggestion if you are looking for OEM Audi rims maybe contact a Audi dealer and check local prices for them ?

Don't worry most people did not understand the difference in pricing due to taxes, difference in PPP, etc. AND you got two sets of everything- the price is actually not too bad.

I'm never worried. i just didn't it would sound that extreme since it's already a pretty expensive car and when thing comes to OEM it usually starts to become pricy.
One thing i didn't mention is that Audi does not have the Rs6-II in gun metal stock, witch i have. so they have to be ordered to be made as i understood it. probably adds a bit to the price.

and for my own justification it adds personal value for my car.

And that is all that matters. OEM would be my preference too, even if it costs more.
