    AfterMarket Headlights + HID Questions...

    Hi all,
About a month ago I purchased an audi a3 2.0TFSI with normal halogen headlights.
I wish to change them to one of these:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-09-Audi-A...42cbf7&vxp=mtr

    or

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A3-S3...d4a4b15&_uhb=1

So first, Has anyone had one of the above and can comment on quality and overall satisfaction from them? maybe provide pics?
Second, What about changing the bulbs and converting it to HID? will it cause problems with MOT?
I heard that when you convert it, usually you hide everything inside the headlight to make it look original.

    THank you for your help!!!

I have the second type that you linked. I have not converted to HID yet. Quality is about what you would expect for the money. That is, fitment is good, but not perfect. Beam pattern not perfectly flat, but still has decent cutoff.

still no turbo - other mods here

    Thanks alot for your comment.
How are the LED/DRL's? shining white or fading after a while?
and what bulbs are you using? regular yellow halogen or white color like night breakers, mtec's etc?

LEDs have not changed. They are not super bright, but are white. I just have the original halogens that came with the housings, but replaced the orange turn signal lamps with silvered.

I was shopping around for a while for HID kits. And i found www.hidextra.com

I just received them today and I love my new HID kits! excellent customer service and great quality products.

Was very easy to install, plug and play, no wire-cutting unlike some kits. My new HID lights give the car the aggressive look and improved visibility that I wanted.

I was told that Audi vehicles need Capacitors to eliminate the flickering issues and signal error on dash. HIDextra offers VOLT Canbus ballast, high quality ballast that has the built-in capacitors already. And has the advance components that eliminate any issues of vehicle computer system.

Do you guys have problem with your HID kits? You may want to check this out -> http://blog.hidextra.com/hidextra-hi...d-kit-quality/

Highly recommended HID vendor! Kudos! Posting photos sooon!
