Pop out coin holder directions

If you can call it that.....i don't think it was engineered by a German though....most likely a drunk gypsy.

You have to pull the shifter surround out and pop it out from the bottom.
David B8 has a few DIYs on his website that show how to pull that out. www.audienthusiasts.com

nope, the little foam pad underneath will keep most your soda from draining, it really is worthless as a coin holder.

The ashtray could be a nice spot to put a phone for the V1 connect.

Thanks, nothing fancy just something that looks good and is useful and looks like a stock filler.

I stick my blackberry in the ashtray right now. Fits just gets in the way of the ac buttons. I was looking at how it could be modified to work.
Coin hold spot is a bit small.

Just a warning. It is more like a general guide than an exact how to. When I took my center console apart to change out the trim it wasn't exactly as described. There were some differences in my 2013 (6MT) from the guide.

Anyone know if you can get to it by simply pulling out the shifter boot instead of the whole shift surround?
