    Auxiliary Water Pump Delete

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My secondary water pump is leaking really bad and I am thinking about deleting the pump by using the Silicon Horse from 034. How many of you have deleted this pump? Any issues I should be concerned about?

I am planing on deleting the pump and install the Phenolic spacer since I have to remove the intake.

Vimal, don't delete it. That pump does a lot of work to protect your turbos from boiling the oil after you shut the key off. Just spend the $120-150 and replace it with the relocation kit.

You can delete it. As long as you let the car cool before shutting it down the pump never runs anyway.

Unless you replace the temp sensor associated with the after run pump, it's worthless to replace the pump.

I relocated mine, but wish I would have just deleted it since I already have a turbo timer.

Dre, what's the turbo timer? I've got a leaking sec H2O pump as well and just figuring out my options.

My turbo timer is built in to my alarm/ remote start system. It is a viper unit.

Vimal, I checked all the usual places to get the kit and the lowest price I've seen was $187. It used to be about $150 so I guess it has gone up a little over the past 4 years.

i have the delete, no problems and i drive out of turbo and let it cool for 2 mins at least before shutting down, I will be getting a turbo timer to get rid of that problem. If you know how to treat your car then the delete wont be a problem
