Talking 2013 S4 Exhaust sound modes Comparison video!! Dynamic vs Comfort

Driver select is set to individual. I change between dynamic and comfort modes for the engine sound option.

Taking a drive up a nice windy road to hear the comparison between the 2 exhaust modes built into the 2013 s4. in dynamic mode intake noise is pumped into the cabin, just like the focus ST and the new 911 carreras
    ENJOY! comment what you think.

I think you can change the exhaust sound to be louder even when u r in comfort mode.

Thank you very much for posting that! I was really interested to hear that infamous speaker system!

I have to say that it doesnīt soudn too bad! But it is just a matter of principle for me. Those artificial engine note enhancements are all like fake tits to me. They arenīt bad, but they can never be as good as the real thing (a real engine note, to get back to it hehe).

But still, it is technology used for driving pleasure and nothing else. And THAT is a good thing I guess.

Cool video. thanks for posting. I pulled the Soundaktor fuse 3 weeks ago and still can't decide what i prefer. If it weren't for the drone during highway cruise (in D mode, ~65mph+ cruise) with the Soundaktor on, I would probably just leave it be. I'm going to put back in today and see how i feel. decisions!

I like the soundaktor on with stock exhaust, but I just recently got an awe exhaust and it kind of competes with the exhaust sound so I MIT leave it off.

Nice vids, you should post this in the soundaktor fuse pulled thread I started as well. In general the consensus seems to be it is fine with stock intake and exhaust and actually enjoyable at times in dynamic, however, once aftermarket intake and exhaust have been installed it tends to detract from the driving experience. Thanks for the contribution!

I've got to stand up for fake tits here. Don't knock them till you've....driven them around for a bit, so to speak. Two guys I definitely want to shake hands with are the guy who invented the beer tap and the one that invented fake boobies.

The dealer let us drive our car around for a couple days and I think I like it better off for day to day use. I probably would leave it off even if I were wringing it's neck. Car just sounds so sweet without any help.

You experience a drone even with stock exhaust? My car (with stock exhaust) is exceptionally quiet cruising at highway speed.

Is the sound being pumped through the speaker system? If so, are their actually microphones in the exhaust system or is the sound completely fabricated/pre-recorded? I'm fine with the former, but the latter seems lame.

    No mikes. Sound is fabricated.
