DRC recall for all USA B7 RS4's

I am new to this Board but not at all new to being a German car enthusiast.

I have bought an '07 RS4 from an Audi dealer in the Rockies. It is being shipped to me.
I was told that my specific RS4 never did have a DRC recall. I was under the impression Audi did a recall on the leaking shocks issue in the DRC system on these cars. Is that not true? Or did Audi just handle the bad ones that came in under warrranty?

I did get a local independent mechanic to visit the dealer and check out the car and he did say he looked at all shocks and did not see any signs of leaking...

Thanks in advance for any clarification.

If I recall they only replaced them as needed, such as a leak. If you need a lightly used set let me know, these were replacements, originals leaked.

The guy I bought mine from said he had no issues or leaks at all but the dealer did the recall replacement anyway. It is a 2007 car and I believe the recall was performed in 2010 at ~30k miles.

Audi sent letters out to owners about the recall. It was purely voluntary, not mandatory. The recall expired June 29th 2012. I had mine replaced twice. 15k miles and no issues with the third set. Knock on wood.

Fuk Audi and their shitty recall. I tried in vain to get a new set to no avail. So I bit the bullet and installed Motorsports.

Shit that reminds me, I still gotta throw my old DRC shocks through my dealerships window.

Interesting Audi USA would put a time limit on a recall... if something needs to be recalled then it needs to be recalled!?!?

Put simply, AoA needs to get the liability of the recall off their books ASAP. It's not a technical reason, it's a financial one.
