Anyone try Alzor wheels from ECS?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Just wondering if anyone has tried them, searched and didnt find any reviews on them I have my eyes on the 18x8 ET 35 Peelers rep they have for 399.95. I have store credit and want some new wheels. So maybe if someone could shed some light that would be great.

$400 18" wheels backed by ECS, what else do you want to know? Maybe you can find 19's or 24's for $300 somewhere else? There are are no reviews probably because they're heavy, and cheap cast rims that don't need to do anything but hold air...I'd love to see some kind of pretentious performance reviews on em too.

I saw a set of that brand on a jetta wagon at SAMs club a few weeks back. they look fine, but I bet they are heavy. I am sure Jason can post a weight.

22lbs seems reasonable for a cast 18" wheel. I'd be more concerned with the strength of the wheel and the quality of the finish given that they're only $400. Corners had to be cut somewhere

I wish ECS would chime in here, I have around 200 in ECS bucks and I could use them on this. If not I will just keep saving and get my friends OE peelers

22lbs, really? They must have a thin circumferential casting as well as the spokes . My cheap, cast, name-brand 19's are 28 lbs, and I'm glad for the material after all the bumps and bruises that they've received over the years. They've held up well.

MNAudi101, what I meant was that ECS was willing to stand by them, better them than some e-store off ebay. And $400 for 18's that I'd use as winters is so damned cheap that I'd take a chance at that price. And yeah, it's pronounced "Rimmz", or "Remmmze" and not "wheels", they go under your "taaars".

My friend has some 621's on his GTI and they look great and he hasn't had any problems (got them 6 months ago). The price is outrageous I don't know how you can go wrong with a set (even if you end up bending one on a pothole a year down the road).

Edit: I've bent wheels 4-10 times this price...at least this way replacement cost isn't bad haha

All of our Alzor wheels are made using the low pressure cast manufacturing process. This is much stronger than gravity casting. I've yet to hear about a customer having durability/quality issues with these wheels.

Our manufacturer also holds a ISO 9001 certification for making wheels.

Please forgive the true 4x4 Quattro Rallye car look...I do have new suspension sitting in boxes in the garage.

So..I've had these wheels for over a year and have had no issues. Zero. I was actually impressed buy the look and finish when I saw them in person. This is a second car, our old reliable tank (218,xxx miles and counting), and I just wanted something to dress it up a bit. I couldn't be happier with them. Price was right, they feel great. I've hit potholes and suffered 0 damage. the finish still looks great. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a value priced wheel. Are they BBS race quality for your track car? No, probably not. Are they perfect for daily use on a street car? Yes.

I ended up getting some Alzor Peeler reps they were good but I think towards the end of having them I had one bent one in which could happen to any wheel, The finish was top notch. I will consider these again, I never knew they were gravity casted.

As far as I know they are made using low pressure casting. This is a more consistent process as the mould is not subject to turbulence which can cause oxide inclusions and entrapped gas porosity and in some cases mould erosion and hotspots.
