The G202 yaw rate sensor is incorporated into one housing with the G200 lateral acceleration sensor. It's located in the center console under the radio.

Nice guys, thanks Old Guy. is it hard to swap out? I have the traction control light and when i scanned my car, it lead me to this fault code. Lets just say on ice my car gets real iffy like it wants to fish tail and it saves itself just before its about to loose control. Not a good feeling!

I have never attempted to remove the sensor but I believe it is straight forward. Remove the shift cover and it should be visible underneath the ashtray. It's behind the large wiring harness. Disconnect the sensor plug, remove the two cap nuts holding it in place and it should pull right out.

im convinced you need to understand wicca to do anything with the ABS Module.

you have to preform the ABS Spell following steps 1 through 5 however, when you get to step 5 you'll realize you forgot to sacrifice a lamb between steps 2 and 3 so your whole process is void and you need to start again.

this may be a dumb question but could upgrading the rear sway bar with a much stiffer one cause traction control to come on for no reason? wouldnt the yaw sensor think it wasnt turning as much as compared to the steering angle sensor if is not leaning as much?

Actually that's a pretty insightful question. To answer your question I would say no. I don't think the yaw sensor would recognize a change in the axial rotation (leaning). I believe it only reacts to the difference in linear rotation versus the steering angle. If you consider the diagram below the difference between the yaw input and the steering angle sensor would cause the ESP to apply the right front brake and or power to the left rear to rotate the car back to the right. I don't think a stiffer rear sway bar reducing the lean would cause the ESP to react. The yaw control reacts to over or under steer. It's pretty hard to induce over-steer on the A4 unless you are making big power with really stiff suspension.

Remove radio, HVAC controls, shifter trim and ashtray. It's about 4'' in under where hvac unit would be.
