Ideas for more aggressive exterior look?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm thinking I might like to make my '07 a bit more aggressive looking. I don't want too radical of a change, though. I still want it to look classy, just not as sterile as it currently does. I don't know anything about mods or what parts would be compatible with the current body, so I'm relying on help from all of you to give me some ideas for what I could add. All work would be done by a body shop/dealership because I don't know how to do any of that kind of stuff. I'm also hoping you can give me estimated prices for how much something would cost if you know that information.

Everything on it is stock right now. It's a grey '07 A4 2.0T Quattro. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Top right is the search bar. Best bet is to search for suspension and wheels if you're going for the "aggressive" look.

What kind of lowered distance would be safe for not allowing rubbing of tires or any other possible damage? Would I only need springs, or is something else necessary to accompany them to lower the ride?

That's from my neighborhood...haven't spoken to him but looks like...

    - clear corner with blacked out internals
    - blacked out grill
    - not sure which lip that is
    - lowering springs....maybe HnR, maybe with B5 perches on the front
    - S4 door blads
    - window tint
    - tinted bumper reflectors

Other than teh wheels, the rest looks stock.

Most of that stuff is available in the classifieds right now. You could get there for a reasonable price.

That lip his horrendous, it is a carbon fiber lip for the dtm. I had one on my car when I bought it and everytime I saw it I thought of this:

It's just a basic carbon splitter, likely from Deval, definitely not a DTM lip. It's ElCapitan464's old car, he traded up for an S4. Funny mcpcartier says it's in his neighborhood. Meaning the new owner kept the now completely irrelevant euro plate?

    Just an FYI:

If you rely on a shop/dealer to perform all your mods, its expensive. The labor cost of installing a given part can easily exceed the cost of the part. Plus there can be other associated costs.

Things I've considered that you might also enjoy that could make it more aggressive are:
Coil overs, Wheels, Tint, an S-line or RS4 grille or even just getting a filler plate if your state doesn't require you have a front licence plate, debadging the rear emblems (I personally would only remove the A4 and 2.0T badges, not the Audi rings), also projectors, a Cupra Lip, and a roof rack if you're into that.

If your car is black, leaving the chrome trim and upgrading to brushed or chrome mirror housings is nice. However, if you like the murdered out look (all black) you could plastidip the chrome trim around your windows, and or remove your chrome emblems and paint/plastidip them. I only mention plastidip because it is totally reversible, which is something I personally like to have the availability of.

Even just having your windows tinted makes a HUGE difference, and it's one of the easiest things you can do. Even if you can't do it there are a lot of people who know how, and offer this service.

I personally have not changed my suspension from stock yet, but what I hear is that springs are not the way to go. They cost 200$ for a reason. The ride is much less smooth, and because the spring doesn't hold the car up as well, it puts more of the load on your shocks which will cause them to ware faster and in some cases blow out. Then you'd end up spending a lot more money on a new shock. The cost of springs + the cost of installation + cost of new shock and install for the shock, it would possibly cost you as much money as just getting coil overs, minus the huge headache.

Cupra R lip, suspension, and wheel spacers. Can't go wrong with any or all of those! You'd be amazed at the difference in the appearance of your car with just these mods. Aggressive, subtle, and classy.

Shoot me a PM if you have any questions or need price quotes!

plasti dip or 1080 wrap the crome, clear corner the lights, color match the reflectors and add cupra lip. These are all cheap easy mods that will make your car look 20X's better. If you want to get real deep with it, go S-line or even dtm on your front bumper. Also take the car out of 4x4 mode and get some new shiny wheels for her. All this should keep you busy for a while.

I will tastefully disagree that plastidip does not make the car look better and should stay on 30yo's honda civics that are still living with their parents and can't afford real paint.

I will agree to disagree, when doing the crome strips it works great. It's also is great for dipping your wheels. I will say that the 1080 wrap will probably look better though.

I agree with FraggyA4, plastidip a great, affordable way to make changes that allow you to change back if you ever wanted. My rims are plastidipped, and I know it's not "legit" or whatever, but I like to have the original wheels if I ever wanted them, and being that I'm a college kid I can't afford new wheels at the moment.
