    Will a ko4 center section mate to a ko3 turbine/compressor housings?

Basically... I have a ko4 center section from my old Audi TT. If I swapped the housings would this go into my S?

So a k04 turbine in a k03 housing... Yes it's been done. It was popular back in the early days of modding. That's what l have.

?? Something I have wondered since being on here, I have not seen anyone with a "REWORKED" K03? I had on my my SP3 a few years ago. Was a very good upgrade.

l haven't done a 3rd gear pull/logged in a while. Mostly because l know l have clogged cats which are hurting my spool and top end.. and I'm afraid with all that backpressure.. to push it. I'm saving for downpipes and waiting for warmer weather. just graduated college nooo money. dont remember exactly but it was in the low 4s.. in that one log. maybe ill take one tonight.

They simply are non compatable. Machining is needed.

I used to have ko3 hybrids they were nice.

Must cut the housings for the wheels but fit right on.
b6/2.7 I did is running something like this from Scroll. Wont knock your socks off with a dyno number, but very nice dd turbos.
Price-wise though, you will prob be getting close to f21 territory.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

I kinda F'd up the whole FATS thing but here's an idea of my boost/maf I took on way home.

The turbo's are listed in my sig and came in a kit from AMS/ABT rated for 360bhp on all stock parts + 5bar fpr. I added the exhaust/meth but no retune because like I said I need new cats they are both throwing codes, and I can tell in my spool they are highly restrictive. I basically view my car as an incredibly strong 2+.."minus dp's" these turbo's were supposedly able to push about 16-17psi to redline and were used in a 450 bhp ABT car in 2006, so they have alot of room till they are pushed. But it is a tip..

Turbine housing will need machining to be fitted but i dont think the compressor housing will be able to withstand machining, it will need like 40.something mm's to fit k04 impeller and k03 has 34.2 mm's of inner diameter, dont think it has enough meat, probably need k04 compressor housing too, i know TT 225 k04 has bigger compressor housing than b5 s4 k04
    Got it...
    K04-020 compressor wheel (TT 225)
    Inducer- 41.86mm
    Exducer- 56.06mm
    K03-016 compressor wheel (s4)
    Inducer- 31.45
    Exducer- 44.96
    K04-026 compressor wheel (rs4)
    Inducer- 39.6
    Exducer- 50.8

The audi tt 225 compressor wheel is a lot bigger then RS4 damn its almost the same as rs6. Also the audi tt has the best compressor housings. Use the the k04 center section in a china k04 housings and be done

I think that 225 TT Compressor wheel is the same used in RS6 but TT's use smaller K04 turbine section, i would use the stock K03 turbine housing machined to fit your TT turbine impeller and look for a china compressor housing and machine it for the bigger wheel, youll end up with something like a frankenturbo

Dont really know about what wheel they use but i meant that its gona be a hybrid turbo like the FT's, not exactly but it'll sure flow more than stock rs4

I recall his FATS being skewed simply because of his 5 speed tip, not 6 speed!

This thread is a throwback to 2003 on audiworld. The housings still choke the flow.

You simply can't bore the k03 compressor housings out enough to fit k04 wheels. I don't get the interest in this.
