Question Needing Woodgrain Interior Trim / Advice

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hi - New here, and needing help. Does anyone have or know of a place to get factory woodgrain trim for B8 A4, or good aftermarket wood trim? Not stick-on 3M trim. Also, can the interior trims from each model be interchanged (will A6 trim fit A4)? The new layered oak trim on the new A8 is amazing. Any help locating some wood trim for me is greatly appreciated!

Wood interior trim is not loved here - I am an exception - I LOVE WOOD TRIM

What year is your A4, 2009-2012 or 2013 - trim shapes may have changed with 2013 'facelift'
What is your interior color - beige, grey or black.
Trim between models (except perhaps A4/A5 - front only) AFAIK not interchangeable - each has different shapes.
A6/A7/A8 will of course have nicer wood trim and likely more options - and they cost more
Only B8 A4 wood options have been Almond Ash Beige (light, yellowish) and Walnut Burl (medium-dark brown, beautiful burl grain) - depending on interior color of your ride.
3 years ago I switched my Almond Ash out for Walnut Burl - searched and found on eBay.de (with help from Google Translate). $300 for complete set, however requires a buyer/shipper in UK to assist.
Check classifieds here - wood trim shows up regularly.
    Good Luck

2009 3.2L Premium Plus, Black on Black.
I noticed people here don't care for the woodgrain, but I do like it as well. I really like the ash grain beige, but would be ok with one of the lighter wood trims. I like the new layered oak as well. I saw some aftermarket sights where the kits were $1,000+, but the link above is closer to my budget. I found a great wood trim set on eBay as well for my previous 2008 A4, but have a more difficult time finding a trim set for the B8 series. I would gladly trade my brushed aluminum trim for wood trim.

I had the Almond Ash Beige in my 2009, its really the only choice to go with lighter interiors (and since discontinued, was only available with Cardamon Beige interiors to begin with). The "hologram aluminum" trim the 2009-12 cars came stock with looked horrible in beige interior cars. The facelift cars come with a somewhat nicer "trigon aluminum" trim, but I still prefer the walnut (my new car has black interior but no wood). The facelift cars have the option for the layered oak, but its expensive to buy. The other options are Dark Brown Walnut (same as pre-facelift) and Fine Grain Ash. I think the pieces are the same between B8 and B8.5. The other wood choices listed on that site are European only.

This wood trim is posted in the classifieds. It would probably look better with your black interior than a lighter wood trim.

True, Almond Ash Beige wood was the ONLY wood choice with Cardamon Beige leather - the walnut burl looks far better - why I switched mine.
Never understood why AOA limited our choices.

Needing Woodgrain Interior Trim / Advice

Sry for the delay, got busy w work and forgot about the thread. I only have one pic of the trim from when I swapped it out, I'll take pictures tomorrow and post.
Now I swapped to this, IMHO needed on a car with a light interior.

FWIW, the stock interior in that car is the Beige Almond Ash trim we were discussing above.

    Aruba,

I've got the same interior and Ash wood trim on my Deep Sea Blue avant. I have always wondered what CF would look like in the interior. Where did you get the CF trim? looks OEM with that aluminum accent on it. Would you mind posting up some other interior shots so I get an idea how the cabin looks with the new trim? Might be something worth doing to mine. I like the Ash trim but I'm not in love with it. Thanks in advance!

I have the layered oak inlays on my 2013 allroad... with the black interior. I'm biased... but I REALLY LOVE the look. Warms things up nicely.

It is nice looking, better than Ash Almond IMO - fitment on the A4 sedan? And price as an add-on?

Audi charges $850 for the factory option and seems rather uncommon on cars in dealer stock. Don't know if its a "sold order" only option. The pieces from Audi after the fact cost about $ouch. The allroad and A4 sedan trim should be the same, so fitment isn't an issue.

Wood is good. Had the dark trim in my B5 and loved it. Not sure if it fits the profile of the newer interiors but Ive always had a soft spot for how the dark trim looks.
