Is there any way to make the proximity warning beeps less sensitive ?

It's too sensitive: It starts beeping too soon. IMO, of course.

While waiting in line at the gas station today I did learn that you can play in the park assist menu and change the tone frequency. There are so many notes! If you move the MMI knob around in that menu you can make up little songs. If I had kids I'm sure this would entertain them.

you can change the volume and frequency of the both the front (if so equipped) and rear buzzers. in my facelift b8.5, its under the parking aid menu. you can't disconnect the speaker or your entire parking aid system won't work. a 50 ohm resister in place of the speaker may do the trick.

another option if you listen to music all the time is to increase music volume while parking to drown out the beeping!

Why would you want it LESS sensitive?

If it WAS possible (which it is not) and you did reduce the sensitivity - think about how foolish you will feel when that one time that you back into a thin pole at night too thin for your now de-sensitized sensor to sense?

Just turn the volume down or off if you won't want to hear it...
