    WOT Box Install Question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Before anyone comments that these don't work with our cars because of limp mode etc etc, I don't wanna hear it lol.

So my question is this, I have it all hooked up, but with key on, engine off nothing lights up to try and do the test, but when I start the car, the box lights up, and when I go quickly to WOT it blinks, how ever when you push the clutch in, and go WOT it shoots past the 4,000 RPM's and does not Anti Lag right. I have checked all my connections and they seem alright. Anyone have this problem?

No, I have real NLS and Anti-lag.

Wotbox=SHIT and will throw a soft limp for about 3 seconds after the shift. Why would you want that?

What is the difference between your NLS and anti-lag and this? I heard about the limp mode, but this was free so I wanted to try it. I'm always open to ideas if there is something better

you can get anti-lag and nls via programming in the ECU. Since the ECU is giving the commands, its not fighting to make sense of and correct the info from a piggiebacked external setup

The problem is the wotbox kills spark independent of the ME7, which sees this as a misfire and goes into soft limp. The only way (that I know of) around it is to inhibit misfire detection/coil checking in the ecu. If you're going to do that then adding AL/NLS isn't much more work. The ME7 is an incredible piece of tech. The wotbox might be fine on less complex systems, but since all of its features can be implemented in the stock ecu's programming there's no need. It just overcomplicates things.

I had my stg3 car go to limp mode even with ECU tuned NLS. Im looking for a tuner that could do this on my stage 3. J Fonz in not doing it anymore :( Any suggestions? MRC is impossible to reach, I really wish I could get MRC to tune my ECU...

You would rather use a UK tuner than all the zillions of tuners we have here? The fact that you can't even reach them is a clear indication of why this is a bad idea.

Eurodyne wrote an awesome code that adds to the stock ecu to include nls and anti-lag. Someone was nice nice enough to share this information on nefmoto for the community to use. Glad it has been shared because it helps advance the community with open information sharing.
RIP Daz, you will be missed.

It won't put car into limp mode. Then you have connected box wrong. If you have N2MB wotbox --> one connection is told wrong in the instructions.

    read this:
    http://audisrs.com/WOTBOX_help__about21743.html

I have N2MB box and no problem. Car is so much faster. I don't use it very often.

and this is how it looks..it pulls right away

So what is up with people saying they don't work, they suck, they are shit etc etc, now a bunch of people come in and say, No problems at all, best thing ever lol. I had J-Fonz turn off or do what he does with the misfire so there is no limp mode.

Question for the guys that its working fine on, did you cut the Black/Blue at the ECU, or did you cut the one that the manual says to cut? The RED/GREEN?

The red/green wire is the wrong one to cut and it should be the black/blue one. Cut black/blue wire -->from the ecu black/blue jump wire to the orange connector (black/blue). Other end of cutted black/blue (goes to coils) to the black wire of WOTBOX. Orange connector (black/blue) also to wotbox red wire. Now it should work.

We fitted the wot box into my B5 RS4 as i donīt have launch or flat shift in my current map anymore.
The problem is, we canīt find the advanced settings section where you can adjust the ignition cut to "harsh ignition cut". Firmware is 3.2.

Can anyone help me how to adjust ignition cut for more bang bang action? Thereīs zero bang while shifting. Launch bangs once when lift the throttle.

Why not? If you had it before but dont have it now, is there a reason for that? Most of the local dyno tuners I talk to try to dissuade people from getting it on their turbo vehicles because very few people use it as intended, and just want it for making "more bang bang action" in parking lots, which can be hard on the turbos and shorten their life.

Are you in "expert Mode"? if not, click "options" and select "expert mode" the password is PIDControl, then adjusting the PID value should adjust the harshness from my understanding by changing the value between 1-4 (might allow you to go higher), my guess is that its like megasquirt where you are telling it to cut the spark X amount of times within Y number of events. However I have NEVER used one of these, this is just from a few minutes searching on google.

I expect a 'thank you' video of it in action if this in fact does get it doing what you want. haha

So far my current mapper doesnīt do flat shift and launch into map. Thatīs why. Yes we are in expert mode.

If they "wont" thats one thing, if they "can't" you might consider another tuner who's not so limited in their abilities.

did you do the other crap I mentioned after unlocking expert mode?? Just being in the mode doesn't change the settings. You have to change the PID values.
