    Running 255/35/20 tires?

Just orderd my RS4 reps from Achtuning. Leaning towards the 255/35/20 tires to ensure I meet the load ratings for the car and to have some additional side wall for comfort and to protect the wheels. I know this will create a 1" taller rolling diameter that will throw off my speedo, but I was wondering if other folks that are running this setup could chime in.

    1. How far off is your speedo and is it even really noticable?
    2. I'm lowered on H&R OE Sports and is there going to be an issue with rubbing? (I'm sure most are aware but it's a 20x9 40et wheel)

    Thanks in advance!

that tire is definitely tall.. so i can't tell you that you won't rub. just an FYI, i am running 255/30-20 on my 20x9 et 37 RS5 reps with NO rubbing at all on H&R sport springs for now. i will be throwing a 5mm spacer in the rear, too.

Thanks for the reply staticuxo! Yeah the load rating on the 255/30/20 is what's steering me away from that size. I did some additional research and it looks like 245/35/20 might work still. Pretty much spot on with the load rating and still plenty of options in tire. It should also give me a little more clearance to prevent rubbing. Still would like to hear from anyone running the 255/35/20 setup though!

Yo do not want to do this. They sell 20" tires in XL load rating.

    I run the Michelin PS2 without issue 255/30 R20 on a 20x9 wheel.

You'll be way off with a 35 sidewall, check it out.

Running 255/35's on 20x9 et37 on stock ride height and have rubbed on a sharp turn down hill, otherwise i've had no issues, check with Lou below, he pulled this off with a drop on et40.

    Thanks for the reply evorevo.

Went ahead with the Continental DWS 255/35/20. So far no rub in the rear even with an above average sized passenger (buddy is 6-8 275lbs). Fronts are fine except for when taking turns aggressively. Will definitely need to replace the inner fender liner screw with one that protrudes less but the rub is not substantial. With normal driving no rub at all even being lowered on OE Sports.

Im running 245/30/20 with a +25 offset out back and barely rub with a 9" wheel. With a 40 offset you got lots of space

Your speedometer will read slow. 70mph indicated will be a gps 72mph actual. I liked the setup, but they do fill the wheelwells further on any spring setup.
