    Anyone run 245/45/17 tires?

Not that I want to, but one of my blizzaks went flat and I have to replace it due to sidewall damage. I found 4 used blizzaks that are 245/45/17 with decent tread for less than what 1 new blizzak will cost. Car is lowered, but not much at all as I raised about an inch for winter. The current size I'm running is 215/5017 which is not the right size, but it fits and rolling diameter is ok based on the online calculator I used. I know 45 is the right sidewall profile for 17s on this car but I don't know if 245 width will fit. Wheels are 17x7.5 et35

I don't see why not? I'm running the stock 235/45/17. Don't see why you couldn't go a tad bit wider, it's only .3" more I think

Won't be off by much, they might look a bit bulky on the stock 17s but there's people running that width with summer tires, you're increasing the diameter and width by about half an inch.

I run the 215/50/17 winters as well, prefer narrower tire in the snow.

i ran this size more because i got them cheap on craigslist than anything else but ya narrow is better for the snow. my concern is that my wheels ARE NOT factory. Factory wheels have ~ET42 while the wheels i have are ET35 so i am 7mm closer to the fender. i feel like it will be close but i should be ok.

I have 4 blizzaks (WS-50) of varying tread depths. One is awesome, 2 are good, and 1 is terrible and not safe to use for winter use. You can HAVE them. I was thinking that I'd keep the awesome one as a spare, but my parents want them out of their basement.

Take them all because you'll probably want to match the tread depth with the rest of your tires. They are size 235/45 R17.

PM me if you are interested.

EDIT: Tires are in Rochester, NH btw. I can meet you in Portsmouth or something early Saturday morning.

While this is an awesome gesture, I don't think i'd want to mix match them with his 3 good 215/50/17

    Edit:
2 on the front and 2 others on the rear might work.

Checked it and it's only a 0.5% diff, i'd actually do it, i forgot that's why i went with the 215/50s in the first place it's almost stock diameter.

You dingus, they might stick out 7mm more but your fenders are rolled and you raised up your car. You'll be fine.
