Monsoon Gray vs Daytona Gray S5?

I am close to pulling the trigger on a 2013 S5 Coupe, and wondering if there is a difference between Monsoon Gray vs. Daytona Gray. My local Dealer doesn't have any cars in either color in stock, so all I have seen is pictures. In the pics Daytona seems deeper and richer, but is it worth the $ 2k difference (and 4 month wait) to order it in an exclusive color?

Looking for pics and comments please. Thanks!

No Sir, now that monsoon is an option I would never pay the premium for daytona. Monsoon looks really good. You will not regret and have $2k for mods/women

I agree with mopper (buy one get and get the second one for 25 cents).

However, if you are leasing the car...

Its approximately only $1000 more (assuming you're paying for half of the car over lease), stretched that over 36 payments...thats only ~$28 more per month.

Daytona > Monsoon.

BTW....you should look into "Graphite Gray." I wonder if its similar to the Infiniti G37 GG. Its a standard color on Q7s.

IMO, if you have the bankroll for an S5 + DG + $3-5k in mods.....go with Daytona.

Absolutely there's a difference. If you've seen them side-by-side, then you'd be completely clear on that. In my opinion, Daytona is a much nicer color, but I don't think it's $2000 nicer.

I think daytona looks better in pictures than in real life. Still a beautiful color.

I went with Daytona because Monsoon is too blue in certain lights for me. Daytona is also a bit darker, which I like.

You can't really tell the difference between the two at dusk though.

I live in a state where it's sunny 300+/365 of the year, so I went with Daytona.

this. monsoon is a nice color, but the blueish-greenish hue under certain lighting conditions would bother me a little. for that, personally i would pay the extra $$ for daytona. you probably would not tell the difference between monsoon and daytona under ~50% of lighting conditions. if that other 50% matters to you, just pay the extra for daytona. if you are paying $50k+ for a car, you may as well just swallow the $2k difference to have exactly what you want.

That's the big problem with Meteor. I hate the way it has a green tint to it. Once I saw it in person, I crossed it right off my list.

I've got a Monsoon S5, if I had a choice I would have gone Daytona. In the end, the deal I got was good and the Monsoon was on the lot. Still turns heads though - but when I see a Daytona or White 5, my head turns...

I have both colors, Monsoon on a S5 and Daytona on a Q5, my wife's. I never once looked at my S5 and wished it was Daytona.
