Changed plugs and broke ignition coil connector fml

So, I changed to the high end plugs, got everything back together, CEL flashes, check codes, says no communication to coil #3, replaced coils and noticed the peice that the coil plugs into is broken. Can I find a replacement and just change the plug, or do I need the entire wiring harness?

Some places sell a plug kit. I think they're like $25 or something.

Thanks! My local auto parts stores were telling me I needed an entire harness.

Here is the replacement coil pack connector housing:

Technically, you need a special tool to de-pin your existing connector. I've had decent luck with using a sharpened paper clip and some "mad skillz yo". Using the correct tool definitely makes it less aggravating.

    Special tool (inexpensive version):

Modification to special tool to make it work better for these connectors:

^This thread also describes the paper clip method.

OK I got the new plug in, luckily it came with wires pre-attatched because the old connectors just fell apart. What is the pin out, because the wires on the car are different than the connector I got, on my new connector 1=black,2=brown,3=yellow,4=brown. I'm afraid to pull another connector apart, don't need 2 fk'd plugs. Thanks!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and tell you that you should probably just replace the entire harness. I don't know how many miles are on your car but most B6 coil pack harnesses are in rough shape at this point. 034 Motorsport sells a nice repair harness. And I ended up having to also replace my injector harness...because that was really deteriorating as well.

    Good luck man!

The colors don't matter. You take whatever wire went to pin 1 on your old connector and you connect it to...wait for it...pin 1 of your new connector. Whatever color that happens to be, it doesn't matter. Repeat for pins 2-4. Just make it happen, pin for pin.

The old connector was so brittle the wires just fell out so I have no idea what wire goes where, which is why i asked
