    It's worth bearing in mind that though the 3.0T is RATED at 333hp (which matches perfectly the 11.5 lbs/hp figure with a weight of 3840 lbs), it actually produces more like 360+hp, making the true figure 10.66 lbs./hp.

    As far as I'm aware, Audi is the current leader in underrating their engines' output.... ;-)

    The pounds/hp chart goes something like this:

    over 15 = Not fast enough to be fun
    12-15 = Sporty and probably handles well, but not really fast
    10-12 = Starting to feel a little shove in the back
    8-10 = Fast enough to make no apologies to anybody. Probably all you really need on the street.
    6-8 = Current definition of truly fast car
    below 6 = Current gen Supercar/Hypercar, silly scary fast, soon to be crashed on You Tube video.
    1.5 = F1 car
    0.13 = Top Fuel Dragster

    Nissan plays the underrating game pretty well with the GTR.

    So for those that are tuned running about 450hp - that number is more like 8.53? "Fast enough to make no apologies to anybody. Probably all you really need on the street." fast?
