So I've seen them from jhm, ecs, and audi dealership. All are different prices. All are different bottles.
What's everybody using? I hear "green can". Which is on jhm. Audi's is in their white bottle, ecs has a white can or blue can, I forget...

And is it 2 liters or 3 to fill up?

Pentosin chf 11s. You can get it at Advanced Auto Parts/ Autozone/etc...

I am not sure about the volume but you the reservoir cap has the level indication on it.

I flushed mine using the DIY on this site where you cycle the system. Used about 2 liters when fresh fluid started coming out.

You need Pentosin CHF11S, or an equivalent by Febi/Bilstein. NAPA carries the Pentosin.

Who cares what color the bottle is -- the Febi equivalent is blue, IIRC.

Just go to the local VW dealer and buy a bottle. That would be your quickest and most likely cheapest option. The OEM fluid comes in a white bottle with green fluid

NAPA is cheaper for the same fluid, in my experience.

that's a good point. Though some people will pay a few bucks more for a piece of mind, and not having to research the correct fluid.

I'm personally all about savings, so Napa it is next time! :)

    eh....the difference is negligible.

For me, NAPA is a 45 min round trip to the nearest store (going to the Audi dealership is about the). However I have a VW dealer right in town less than 5 minutes away. Also whatever you buy at the Audi dealership is usually ~10-30% cheaper at the VW service desk. IIRC a bottle of power steering is between $15-20. I'd much rather go 2 min down the street than a 45 minute trip. So different strokes for different folks. Saving $1.50 is not worth a 45 min trip. I was just letting people know they can get it from VW and usually much cheaper than the Audi dealership

Not to mention people at most auto parts stores are retarded (especially when it comes to stuff for Euro cars). I went to Napa a few years back with my first S4 to get Lubro-Moly. Not only did they not have any in stock, it was a 30 minute argument with me having to twist their arm to get them to order it since they had never even heard of the stuff before and they kept telling me "uh, I don't think we carry it" after I insisted they did and even provided them with their part # for it.

The factory fill is mineral. I used just regular cheap mineral from autozone. Did that in my A4 and the S4 and no issues in either
