    I am going to do my best to document most of the changes that have been made since I bought the car until present day, leading up to plans for an engine build.

    bought the car in July 2010 with 65k miles on it.



    became obsessed with it, joined the forums, and never looked back.

    --First mod was going APR Stage 1 in May 2011
    --put on ST Coilovers in June 2011
    --put on 034 HFC and Stasis Exhaust and went APR Stage 2 at Waterfest 2011
    --installed Autospeed Performance (www.autospeed.us) upgraded HPFP and went APR Stage 2+ in October 2011





    --got the RAI treatment in summer of 2012, had Maestro, Boost Manager Plus, and RAI FMIC installed.

    Dyno'd APR Stage 2+ vs. Maestro Stage 2 Base file
    Graph: dotted lines are APR Stage 2+, solid line is Maestro Stage 2 base
    APR Stage 2+ = 184.2 whp and 224.5 wtq
    Maestro Stage 2 base = 197.2 whp and 229.9 wtq

    13whp gain and 5.4wtq gain





    Then RAI tweaked the Maestro Stage 2 Base file (dotted lines is Maestro Stage 2 revised, solid line is APR Stage 2+)



    Most recently, bought the car to RAI to let them begin developing a new turbo kit for the B7 A4, their "Red Label Kit".
    --Borg Warner EFR 6758 .64 a/r
    --RS4 Injectors
    --Red Label log style manifold
    --RAI red label kit downpipe
    --RAI intake

    They also installed a new cam variator, Clutch Master FX-300 clutch, RAI Vent to atmosphere catch can.

    probably forgetting some things, will have to come back and edit this many times i am sure

    Andrew, I'm so glad that you did this, you're going to love it. Especially if you thought your bumped up Stg2 was quick. Bring an extra pair of undies.

    On another note, why didn't you go with Autospeed initially since they are so close? I know they do OTS tunes and custom tunes. Being 15mins away, that seems like it would have been an easy choice. Of course you made the right choice going with RAI, I'm just curious.

    internals ofcourse ;)

    I went with RAI because I bought my BM+ from them, and wanted them to install it since they have experience with it. Added a few more things while it was down there for the BM+ install, liked the work they did, established a relationship, and wanted them to continue it. Plus, Autospeed is still only doing GT builds, as far as I know they haven't moved on to GTX yet. RAI seems to stay up with the latest offerings, they are active in the community, they push the envelope, they keep us updated, and they keep us informed. No disrespect to Mark or the guys at Autospeed, I have always been pleased with their work, but who knows what the fuck they are doing, half the people here have never even heard of them, they have no online presence at all. They could be doing ground breaking shit, but how would we know?

    Question for RAI

    When you install a new variator kit, do you pull and picture the magnet wheel? If so, what replacement bolts do you use?

    picking this up today. I need to figure out my fuel pump when i get it back home. They were getting fuel cuts when tuning my car. I have an Autospeed Performance fuel pump on the car. It had been fine for Stage 2++ but i guess its not handling the new turbo very well. They had an HPFPUpgrade Stage 2 pump in the shop and put that on, and the cuts went away. I am going to have Autospeed check out the pump when I drive it back...hopefully they will replace it.

    That is not supposed to sound flip, this is just one hell of a setup to be running a link in the chain that is not as well known to work. You got a beast here, you are going to have to feed it like one.

    i will probably end up going to an HPFPUpgrade st 2 pump. I just bought this Autospeed one not even a year ago and they told me it supports up to 500whp...its the same pump that is on Eastwick's car. I just want them to check it out and possibly replace it before i go spending money on a new one. crossing my fingers that they warranty it.

    I didnt get too crazy with it...i only hit peak PSI once, but I also didnt get any fuel cuts...so that was nice.

    this thing is fun as hell.

    thanks man. from what ive been told, the EFR will spool a bit quicker, but as dan said the GTX will make some more power. Its a very fun car to drive around. The best part is that I still have quite a bit of room to play with the tune once I get rods. so glad that i bought maestro.

    im working on an iPad and i hate it.

    i tried capturing a few clips last night, i obviously need to get more, and longer. but it was dark and i was on a 35mph road haha. ill get some better ones after this bitch sandy goes away.

    haha. i just finished putting my kegerator back together, im housing beers right now. probably should stay off the road.

    i do have an updated dyno to post. ill scan it if i go to work tomorrow.
