    TPMS Help!

    Hey Guys,
Need some desperate help here. So about a year ago I purchased a set of audi valve stem caps from amazon (similar to these http://www.amazon.com/Tire-Valve-Cap...alve+stem+caps). The other day my sensor went off indicating I had low pressure. Pulled into the first gas station to fill up on air and I was unable to remove the cap. I left it for later as I had to get to work. Today I attempted to remove them and I realized as I was spinning the actually threads. And then next thing I know, snap. Broke the valve stem in half. I only broke one of them but all 4 were seized in the same manor. I made a quick stop by the local tire shop and they were quoting about $120 per sensor + $25 per tire to install. Did a little research online and discovered that I can get them cheeper myself. My question is it appears there are two different types of sensors and I'm not sure which would fit for mine. The other interesting thing is one of the sensor options appears to be a separate unit from the valve. So perhaps I don't actually need the entire sensor?

    My car is a 2008 A4 Quattro 2.0T.

Here are the options I've found.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Am I better off calling Audi w/ my VIN?

    TPMS Help!

Call up pyspeed. They have good deals and can hook you up. Probably wont be able to sneak by with just a valve. But they did come separate on mine.

I was on the fence about getting them. They have been useful and a pain. They're not cheap to get the correct ones. I paid 300 for a set of four when I bought my wheels from pyspeed. I think next time I won't be getting them and instead I will be getting flush mount stems instead. Just my .03

I have a set of four stock wheels with oem sensors sitting around. You want the valves off those?

    Re: TPMS Help!

I would not spend the cash on the tpms system, personally. It is absolutely useless. Hey, one of your 5 tires including the spare may be low or high. Which one?? Couldn't tell you. Just check them all. Great, thanks.

Oh god the spare drove me nuts. So glad I don't have one anymore.

Hey guys, thanks for all the feedback here.

Quick update. I called audi and they told me it was part number 4F0907275D (http://www.europaparts.com/tire-pres...f0907275d.html). Which as you see does not include the stem. It looks like I would also need part number 4D0601361 which is just the stem (http://www.europaparts.com/valve-ste...4d0601361.html).

Now, the million dollar question... can I get just the stems and have them installed with my existing TPMS? This would save me hundreds if I could!
