The right tool for the right job can make all the difference. The bolt is done up fairly tight so using anything else risks stripping/damaging the head.

I think the point that Ben and I were trying to make was that
if you have a T55 (which converts to 11.22 mm), you can use it without issue and without having to make an unnecessary trip to the auto parts store. Believe me, a T55 will work without any issues and will not (at least in my experience as well as others') strip the triple square nut in this particular application of use.
If you have one, test fit it, see for yourself and use your own judgement.
Now, that being said, and as others have suggested, a proper 12mm triple square is the obvious choice for the job. If you don't have a T55 bit around the house and need to go to the auto parts store anyway...well...the choice is obvious. Get the proper tool.
