Cool In the Market: 10' A4 Prestige S-Line OR 10' Premium Plus with Goodies

    Hi Guys!

Long story short I've been looking at CPOs or private sellers for used B8's. I've been a lurker and used the "search" feature a lot and finally decided to go with a 2010+ Audi A4 B8. I've narrowed down my choices to two options where I already started the process of purchasing one of them. I kind of want to get peoples opinions to see what they would have chose. Well here goes.

This first one is actually from the forums. I think he only posts at vwvortex. Here is the skinny on his car.

2010 A4 Quattro manual (Ibis white/ black interior)
    37k miles
StaSIS Exhaust and Tune (4yr/50k warranty)
    Premium Plus package
    Sport package
MMI Nav w/ backup camera and sensors
    Bang and Olufson sound
Basically a Prestige minus the Keyless Entry and Push Start

    Aftermarket
034 HFC with strat mini cat spacer (no cel)
    High flow intercooler pipe
    034 High flow intake pipe
    Strat Hypershift short shifter
    Black 20" RS6 trispokes
    255 30 R20 Goodyear eagle F1's

Started off at $31k but went down to $29K

    My other option was this.

    2010 Audi A4 2.0T Prestige S-Line
    Miles 27K
    Exterior Black
    Interior Black
Transmission Manual 6 Speed / Quattro
    Basically fully loaded (Navi/Back Up Camera/Reverse Sensors/Keyless Entry/Push Button Start/etc)

    Non negotiable at $31K

At the end I went with the blk/blk Prestige S-Line. I figure I can always put the parts that I want down the road. What do you guys think? Good or bad choice on my end? I think with these two cars, there really wasn't going to be a bad choice.

Great choice! The Prestige S-Line is definitely the way to go.

    Prestige.

Having S-Line exterior and Advanced Key is worth it.

I think you made the right decision for sure, both have the sport seats it looks like, and that is what I regret the most. Plus S-line is hard to beat!

tough choices, depends if you want those aftermarket mods vs having s-line, which imo gives the prestige one the edge, it has much less miles as well, depending on how much u drive that can be a year's worth of mileage. also i guess whichever color you like better would be a major thing. i'd go with the s-line, regret not getting that option lol, bumpers and valance are much nicer with a lot of aftermarket options, but the white one does already have the nice aftermarket exhaust anyway.

Prestige. That interior is so worth it. Besides, it almost like a blank canvas to start modding as you please (which makes it even more fun). If you don't want to the modding yourself, then go with the modded premium

Definitely the sline even though I am partial to the Ibis. My biggest regret was not waiting for one with nav and the sport interior, just couldn't find a nice one when I was searching. I think you will be better off starting with a stock car and modding it to your taste. Trust me when I say one day you like one thing and the next day you see something you like better. Take the time that I didn't and don't get me wrong I love every inch of my car and would have loved it more if I had the other options. Next time I know exactly what I am going to get. Also purchasing a modded car makes me nervous: who did the work? was it done correctly? is it a TD1 at Audi(excluding STaSIS warranty)? obviously some one was driving it hard if it has performance mods. The flip side is if all of the work was done properly, taken care of and all parts are quality then you have a nicely modded car from the start.

Funny, I looked at both of these exact cars before I made my decision. I personally like the S-line

Really? What did you end up getting then since you didn't pick up any one of these two?

I guess I chose the right one! Can't wait to get it.

Here are pics of my old car. A4 B5 QMT. She'll be missed.

I ended up going with a low miles 2011 Premium Plus Quattro Sport with all of the goodies, black on black. Plus, manual was not really an option because the wifey doesn't know how to drive it haha. I will post some pics of it when I get it back from the local dealer. I am having a STaSIS ECU and exhaust installed.

    Both look like clean cars.

I vote the black one because id be weary buying a previously modded car, especially with performance mods.
I do like the sline package more, and it does have move value, especially with lower miles.

Both have nav, so the interior looks proper on both

Id say you made the right choice
