    Question B6 A4 1.8T, Viper 5701 and Stinger Double Guard Shock Sensor (P/N 504D)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just got the sensor to install it on my working 5701 but I have a few questions.

1- Is there a location or jack at the Viper Brain to connect the sensor?

2- Best location to place the sensor?

3- Is there any special procedure before, during or after the install?

    Thanks

I install these for a living....no wiring necessary...literally just plugs right in...i normally ziptie shock sensors to a thick wire harness....I also do that for the actually brain....even though the built in shock sensor sucks even when turned up all the way to 15 smh.

Should I crank it up all the way to prevent bumper taps and people sitting or leaning on my hood? Also, will this work along with the DEI 508D DUAL ZONE RADAR MOTION CAR ALARM SENSOR ?

bumper taps are pretty hard impacts so i wouldnt turn it ALL the way up...if a truck/motorcycle/car with a loud exhaust go by it will trigger....the motion sensor will go off before someone gets to lean on it...thats even more annoying lol...when it rains you'll be at your window very often thinking someones messing with your car. Is your car tinted dark? dark tint affects the range on the motion sensor.

That is why I install them on steering shaft any movement in the front wheels triggers the alarm. That's one reason NOT to zip tie your shock sensors to wiring harnesses under the dash and to firmly zip tie them to something that will transment vibration better.
