This is a retrospective build thread for the build of my 2001 Audi TT Roadster. It started life as a 225hp 1.8T 6-speed but floated and bent a valve almost a year ago. Now, it's a TDI. Pictures and details to follow.

Oh! Thank you. I've been meaning to get all my photos organized and in a public Facebook album. 2k miles on the swap so far, as a stock TDI with a chip tune and a 11mm injection pump.

Oh, and the car gets 0-80 almost as fast as it did as a TT, but with 1/10 the noise and heat and 2x the fuel efficiency.

Thanks! It'll be fast soon. And have a new top, working windstop, full trim sans the rear interior bits, and the appropriate emblems. And England willing, a hardtop.

Speaking of new tops, I'm considering going Robbins for an aftermarket top. Anybody have any experience with those? Opinions on color? I really want to go Titan Grey to complement the silver car and make the interior a bit more tolerable with the top up.
