Is there really nothing in the A3 forums? Searched much? Or just hop over to VW Vortex and check out what they've done

    Re: A3 2.0t Tuning

If we're talking crank numbers, a chip tune will put you around 250 hp. To get to 300 you're going to need to upgrade your turbo to the K04.

There are several companies that sell tunes as well as complete K04 kits. The big names are APR, Revo, GIAC, and Unitronic. I'm sure you can find their sites with a quick Google search and research hp numbers and prices.

I was looking at turbo kits, too expensive right now, leaning more towards apr rsc exhaust, apr carbonio intake, apr chip and forge bov

bang for the buck, i might pass on the whole exhaust. this next week i am going with an apr downpipe (made by billy boat exhaust) and an apr 91/93/100 oct ecu reflash.
you get about 90% of the performance increase from the downpipe, very little from the catback part of the exhaust. you also really don't get much relative from the intake.

Get APR software and a downpipe. That'll get you ~270 HP at the crank. If you really want a full exhaust, I think RSC's sound like shit and so do most people. Go with B&B (Billy Boat) or AWE. The intake won't do you much good until you upgrade the turbo, unless you just want the sound. BOV is a waste of money as these are closed systems. There is no need for a BOV, it's a waste of money. Save up from there and get the K04, it's well worth it.

Will that increase in hp ruin the stock gears?
