Seeing as the following OEM wheel specs are for the Q5:

The center bore is 66.6; bolt pattern 5x112

    18x8 ET39 standard wheel (8R0 601 025 C)
    19x8 ET39 standard Prestige pkg wheels (8R0 601 025 J)
    20x8.5 ET33 optional Prestige pkg wheels 5-spoke (8R0 601 025 D)
    20x8.5 ET33 optional Prestige pkg wheels 10-spoke chrome (8R0 601 025 K)
    20x8.5 ET33 2009 S-line wheel (8R0 601 025 Q)
    20x8.5 ET33 2010+ S-line wheel (8R0 601 025 N)

You're looking at quite a bit of poke on the 20x10 ET20, unless you are looking to add wheel arches :)

Based off those numbers, you should be able to figure out which wheel you got and measure how much further you want to "move" the surface of the wheel by changing width and offset by using a wheel offset calculator from the web.

    its an easy calculation;

    OEM 20" wheels: 20x8.5 ET33

20x10 wheels are 1.5" / 38mm wider than 20x8.5 OEM wheels. (thats 19mm outwards and 19mm inwards if they were the same offset)

    ET20 = 13mm outwards compared to ET33 on the OEM's.

that means the wheels will stick out 32mm (13 + 19) or about 1.25" more than 20" OEM wheels. So the question is, how close are the OEM's to the fender? I don't own a Q5 so I dont know

Also, fitment will depend on what tires you are planning on running.

Will my wheels from my S4 (19x8.5, et 43) work on my Q5?

    Thanks for your help guys.

Don't know if anyone else has ran into this but, I found this site that will do a side-by-side comparison on wheel sizes.

    http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

Pandi - going by your wheel spec and using the web link above, it looks like they would fit.

    Q5 - 235/55/19 x 8.0 ET 39

    S4 - 245/40/19 x 9.5 ET 43

The S4 wheel is 9 mm (0.4'') closer to suspension/brakes components. You should still have enough clearance, if the tire size is correct for the S4.

Go 22's!!! IMO 20's look small (20's are the stock wheel with the S-Line Pkg)
Vossen has a sick 5 spoke with deep concave that looks awesome. Go to the Wheel Warehouse website and then to the Audi Gallery for a look at a Q5 with them on.

Same bolt pattern. Will be tucked in another 10mm than stock. Great winter option or add spacers.

Howdy! New to this area of the forum, and sorry for reviving an old thread, but do any of you know if the 8R0 601 025 J 19x8 ET39 wheels (image below) are cast, die-cast, or forged, and who manufactures them?

Can't say for certain, but majority of all OEM wheels are low pressure cast, which is a grade up from gravity casting, but not as lightweight as forged.

Echo to D-Frost on the low pressure casting. I can't imagine they're forged. Best guess at the manufacturer is Ronal, although I couldn't confirm that. I suppose Fuchs is also a possibility, with Superior Industries being at the back of the pack. Good questions - I wish I could offer for-certain answers.

    EDIT
Ok, assuming their list is current, we can exclude Superior.

I am currently looking for a nice set of wheels. The safest choice would be the famous split 7 spokes (rs4 reps). They are slightly wider then the stock wheels and have some more poke. 20x9 et29. But they are too common. So i'm still searching...

I came accros various wheelbrands that would have been nice, however. Since i live in Belgium i cannot find any dealers. Now i finally found something. ACE Convex 20x10 et40 or 20x10,5 et33. Witch would be the better fit? I'm looking for a flush fitment

these are convex 20x10,5 et33 btw.

Thanks. They will be slightly aggresive without fender flares. You can find out fitments at [email protected]

Will a 20x9 et 48 fit the 2012 q5 or should I run spacers to bump it out?

    I'm running 20x9 ET20 Ace Alloys on my Q5 3.0T:

The good thing about aggressive offsets is that they can be ground down. So an ET20 can be ground down to ET30, etc I'm thinking of doing this on the fronts to ET25

So Q5 wheel specs are the same as Mercedes center bore of 66? Typically I see Audi wheels with a 57 center bore. Or are these aftermarket wheel specs?
Anyhow I scored a set of AT Italia 21" rims that were on an early Q5 and wondering what other model cars they will fit. I'll have to check what stamp is on them for ET they seem really wide at least 12"
