    P1136 is this the cause?

    Hey guys-
Yesterday I did my rear coolant flange when I noticed I did not have a hose goingninto this vacume line. I don't know if or when a hose came off here because P1136 just recently popped up after my 02 died. I am still boosting full psi according to my boost gauge so I have not worried about the code however my cold starts are terrible and everyone and a while I'll get a rapid idle drop. As you can see it seems as there was a green cap there before? I do not have sai.

Edit: this is off a 99 1.8t. Coming off the plenum where the coolant fill is.

Attached is the picture. Sorry about any mistakes in my post doing this from my phone.

Its funny you posted this because I threw that same code a few weeks ago. I wasn't making full boost and it was rather slow to spool up. I looked all over for vacumm leaks and sure enough that green cap was disintegrated and I had leak from there. Put a new cap on it, cleared the code and it has not come back. I also cleaned my MAF as well because that code can come from a boost leak or a bad/dirty MAF. All is well since I replaced that. I would put money on that is what your problem is as well.

Okay great. Thank you, will try to put a cap on there today and clear the code. Honestly my spool has not seemed to be affected however my startup is crap. I have already cleaned my MAF hoping that it was the cause, but just recently saw this yesterday.

EDIT: is there supposed to be something connected there? Or was it Originally capped off?

    Thank you,
    Will report back.

My idle was a little rough as well, not terrible but the rev's would bounce from time to time. No there isn't supposed to be anything connected there, it should be capped. I beleive that port is used if you have an automatic transmission.

My throttle response is back!!! Amazing. Thanks guys, put a little cap on it and all is well. Haven't driven very far but code hasn't come back up yet.

I have that code... on my 2.8.

Should this be the same deal on my 2.8? I have problems with my idle like the ones stated. Im going to go hunting for this green cap tm if so.

I just bought a pack of them from Advanced Auto for a couple bucks. I would look somewhere else for them though. The ones from Advanced become dry rotted rather quickly, I think I went through three or four of them since my last response in this post. Might be able to get it at a dealer, I doubt it could be that much money.
