Plasti Dipped my whole car Baby Blue

Wow...how many cans did that take? Would love to see some more pictures. Doesn't look half bad from here. What's the cleanup going to be like on that? (I've never removed plasti-dip from anything)

No cans. I used the professional car kit from dipyourcar.com. which comes with a spray gun. I used about 3 gallons of blue and 0.5 gallons of white. It also looks good up close.

For the cleaning up part, i just have to peel the plasti dip of certain areas that I dont want it e.g the handles and the emblems

I was referring to getting the car back to the original color, i.e. removing all of the plasti-dip. I assume it's a matter of taking a power washer to it.

You can just peel it off. It will come off in one big piece. If not you can use the pressure washer or Googone and wipe it off.

i had a friend do that in the gray spray. she used a pressure washer to take it off because it was quicker to do so. i like the blue though, looks neat!

That looks REEEEEEALY good. Im planning on dipping mine flat white using the kit from dipyourcar as well.

Just wondering, what's the texture like? And did you consider maybe hitting with a coat or two of "glossifier" to add some sheen?

Very good. I was surprised to see this on AZ. A lot of members murder for this. This job was very well done! I bet Fonzie will have some good things to say, it looks a lot like his. Post on the DYC forum if you haven't already. I love me some dipped cars!

The texture is pretty smooth and I actually like the matte color! So no glossifier for me.

About 1 year or so. Maybe even longer. It depends on how many coats you put on and how well you apply them.

Is it a matt or semi-gloss finish?

Anyway, it looks good and reminds me of Audi's Riviera / Mexico Blue.
