2013 Audi A3 2.0T 6spd MT FWD....sline or not??

So I'm really confused with audi and why my car is feels like only half an sline.... I've seen 2011+ quattro DSG a3's have the whole true "SLINE" package, with the "sport" seats, GTI looking steering wheel, etc etc..... So what gives? Does "SLINE" for the US only come in DSG?? Is my car a Sline or not? It has "sline" all over it.... Heres a pic of the car and the interior. I'm so confused.










Would it be wrong of me to leave the sline badge I put on my front grill? Or should I take it off? Since my car is only half a "sline"

ALL current A3s sold as new in the US market are "S-Line" referring to cosmetic things (badges, steering wheel, front bumper, etc)

that being said.....the Titanium Sport Pkg and the regular Sport Pkg add sport suspension---which sits lower and is significantly stiffer. These packages also come with sport seats....which your car doesn't seem to have.

i get all that.. but still havent answered my main question and concern.....

Would it be wrong of me to leave the sline badge that I put on the front grille on?? Or should i take it off? Since my car is only half a sline, just with sline exterior.

i hate when people have R/T on their chargers for example and its just a plain charger, or the people who put TYPE SPEC- R on thier normal hondas.....

so thats what im asking

GOOD - Leave the SLINE badge on your grille (your vehicle has the cosmetic exterior sline features)

BAD - Stitch SLINE on your seats (you do not have the guts of the SLINE package).

true. i can always upgrade my seats/nav/steering wheel later down the road too.

Audi hasn't really been consistent with the 'S-Line' designation. They did the same thing with later B7 A4s...began putting S-Line bumpers/badging on all of them...which made it really hard for most novice buyers to tell if their car was a 'Full' S-Line or not.

Since Audi badged it an S-Line from the factory, I see no issues with adding an S-Line grille badge.

They did a sline exterior on the 2011 prem+ A4s witht he upgraded bumper covers. In order to get the interior you had to buy Prestige/Full sline.

I think they're just getting rid of the bits on the lead up to the next model - B8.5 for the A4/MQB for A3.

Yeah - this threw me for a loop when I bought my 2009 A3. Since it was "S-Line" I assumed it had sport suspension, etc. like all previous generation Audis. Didn't realize Audi had silently downgraded "S-Line" to an appearance package!!! Boo.

to complicate it even further...in 2009, the 'titanium package' was only cosmetic. in 2012, the 'titanium sport package' is a combination of the sport suspension AND titanium package (alcantara sport seats, blacked out bits, etc..)

Yep! My car was both S-Line and Titanium but no sport suspension, etc. which was a big surprise... that Titanium Sport Package is where it's at!
