I was in park and revved it up and it stopped at 4,000 rpm. Then same in neutral. Could this mean I have 2step? (launch control) or just a safety feature

Just a safety feature. the A6s dont have launch control. You can step on the brake with the car in drive (Sport or manual to) and move the tach to about 2000/2500 and then go. Closest you are going to get to Launch Control in our cars.

Just don't do it too much unless you're comfortable with replacing the transmission.

Haha. The only way I knew it was possible was because you did t in your videos. I personally wouldn't do it fear of burning up the tranny.

Yep, I used to get some pretty decent launches when I timed it out right. You have to really mash the throttle as you slowly let off the brake. I'd actually get some wheel spin. Haven't been able to do it as well since getting APR v2.0. Wonder if my car hates me or if it's just the new software.
