Painted Stock 17" A4 B7 Wheels

Does anyone have any pictures of their a4 b7 with painted stock rims? Im curious to see what it looks like. Im 17 and can never save up enough money to buy new rims, but I want to change it up a bit from the plain silver stock ones. I was thinking painting them black would give me the look I was going for.

I have no idea which ones you have, but I couldn't bring myself to buy wheels before getting low. So I went with Plastidip on the wheels to get a feel for what color to look for. Easy to do, but can peel off if you don't like it, or just in the worst timing possible haha. But it's easy to maintain, doesn't affect the original color of the wheels, and it's cheap as dirt. Hope this helps.

Get coilovers and go low before getting new wheels. Makes the car look goofy when it's stock ride height.

How does Plastidip hold up on wheels? when you brake hard wouldn't it melt and screw things up?

OP there is a thread dedicated to cars lowered on the stock split 5 17's. that would be your best bet i would think, or try searching stock b7 painted wheels

Very clean... Looks almost like mine, minus the front mount. I'm thinking about plasti-dipping my front grille, but cant commit yet lol seeing how clean yours looks, I might just do it now

I believe this is the most recent photo I have of my car... I don't have very many of her at all actually. I think this one is kinda small tho, but once I throw my coilovers on this week, I'm gonna try and finally get some decent pictures... I hope lol

It holds up fine, but last time I took it to the dealership, they washed it and the dip peeled on the front passenger wheel about a week from a large euro meet here in MN haha timing was less than ideal to say the least

Plastidip works good I have had my 17" 5 spoke painted black for about 6 months no problem minor touch ups but other than that solid even after detailed.

Took about 4 coats per and a can per wheel with tires on just tape them off.

I just rinse mine off with water, never scrub. If you plasti dip them black, then dust isnt even noticable, unless you touch them and your hand turns black (all my friends). But that just shows how well the dust blends in. Plus if you scrub them theres a chance the plasti dip will come off, and thats no bueno.

I use sonax wheel cleaner on them and they look brand new.

yes, theyre stock bi-xenons with Fly's leds. Search for him, fly300kts. Blacked out and clear cornered aswell.
