RS4 brakes on A4 - Do they fit?

Looking at a set of RS4 brakes to install on my A4 avant. Can anyone confirm these will fit without any modification or additional parts?

Yes they fit but not all wheels will clear them.

There's a thread about it. That has lots of resourceful info, search for rs4 brakes on an s4 or something like that. Basically you will need to run 19's and you may need spacers. Easiest thing to do would be to get the brakes then measure distances and try different wheels and spacer combinations til you find a setup you like. Its alot of work for brakes IMO

And you will need the brakes and the carriers. Also the rotors better be in good shape because you dont want to buy new rotors

Right. I have 19's for Summer but my car has 18" Sline wheels for winter. So likely they would not clear my winter set up.

Likely that they won't but its hard to know without checking. Also keep in mind that as chrislane pointed out, the rotors and pads for our cars are roughly a quarter of the cost of RS4 replacement brake parts.

Just read all the DIY thread. Fronts are fairly easy except for tight clearance on some 18's but the rears are another story. A big job to match all 4 corners.

I really prefer the OEM+ mods. Something about having the Porsche name on my A4 even though I know they are more readily available and one of the best values on the market.

NO I meant to match rs4 units to all 4 corners. The rears are smaller but it is a big job to install them.

for sure, and fixed calipers are super easy to take apart and have powder coated!

I've got the Porsche kit on my A4, and I couldn't be happier. I too looked into the RS4 swap a few years ago. You'll need the spindles as well. After weighing all the costs, I decided against it. Also, the RS4 brakes wouldn't clear my 18" Ti wheels for winter, whereas the Porsche kit does (with a 9mm spacer upfront).

Waking up an old thread - did you make this mod and if you did, was it successful?
