I couldn't agree with that ^ more... but you'll find many people on AZ that love it to death.. go figure.

The black wheels on the a white car is quite the look when its done right.. I see they are the stockers so they're not worth putting that much effort into, but if you wanted to, you could have them powder coated another color. As far as removing spray paint, to get to the chrome underneath, I'm not the expert. Get another set of nice wheels, make them your summers, and make the stockers your winters and paint them (via powder, or stick to spray paint (unadvised), or as you'll come to see on the forum, if you haven't already, look into Plastidip) some vibrant color, SEE HERE, and call it a day.

Also, what is up with that front bumper? It looks like a FMIC project gone wrong or something. It's full of holes; get some lower grilles!

Oh, and she needs a bath

Sand bast and powder coat them the desired color...should be no more than 100$ wheel at most and use them for winter and buy 19" or desired size for summer... or a cheap PITA solution sand by hand, mask, prime, and spay paint which even at the best is temporary before peeling again...

If there's a Wheel's America near you, they would repair and refinish the wheel back to factory specs for about a $100. They did great work for a friend of mine awhile back.

Air craft stripper or any hard chemical stripper will eat through the powder coat. You could try some reduced thinner and scrubbing with a towel. But honestly if you are going with different wheels and having these for winter. Just lightly sand and re paint. If you wanted to put some money into it powder coat. Hell if you we're local to me I would hook you up as I do powder coating. I usually charge $150 to powder coat four wheels (that's if they are brought media blasted as I hate blasting wheels). But either direction best of luck. Oh and I like the 19's you posted. If it we're me I would color match the inner of them white. I love that look.

Brake cleaner. Spray and wipe. Didn't affect paint on the car so stock paint on wheels shouldn't hurt. Comes off easy

As many have said the aircraft stripper will take it all the way down to the base and create a lot of work and extra cleaning, it's not easy! For what you are looking for I'd try what other have mentioned..however it does make me wonder if you will get the smear affect. Is the flat black not sticking good at all? Why not lightly sand out chipping paint, scuff complete wheel, prime and re-paint.

Easy off oven cleaner works on removing "respray" jobs on car bodies and does not affect the original paint underneath, you could try that!

get some laquer thinner, wipe a spot that you cant really see. it probably will take it off if its just spray paint. then get ready for a mess. its gonna be a lot of black rags everywhere.

If you're gonna get different wheels, why not wipe with laquer thinner, scuff any loose areas and repaint over the black to silver. More than likely the OE silver is going to be no good underneath. Doubt someone took a pristine set of silver wheels and painted them black. Seems like a lot of work trying to remove paint for wheels you don't plan on running.
