Lightbulb My dream A5 BT build

    I live in the USA
    Well I will have an A5 2.0t manual by Jan/Feb 2013

I'm a newbie to this whole forum thing, but you guy saved me $$$$ working on my 06 GLI with all the DIYs in this forum and some VW forums.

Really waiting to see the results from IRC BT A5 build.

Judging by the online search for the used A5, most people buy this car with the 6 speed automatic. This is probably why no tuning company made a kit bigger than the K04 upgrade because the auto tranny would not hold up to the higher power levels.
That means no market for a stage 3/3+/4 kit for the b8 (yet I hope still)

So I went online window shopping and this is what I came up with,
*Please school me on realistic labor cost, where I could get cheaper parts etc*

too bad the world ends in 2012 :( Welcome to the forums though. In my experience having owned several big turbo cars i can say this. Do it right or do it twice. Spend the extra cash, long run you will save your sanity and alot of money.

The same way Apr got 451hp 93oct and 501 100oct out of the 2.0 TSI
    http://www.goapr.com/products/stage3...tsi_trans.html

Apr tunes are very conservative, and once Bosch releases the bigger fuel injectors for the TSI/TFSI so that everyone can buy, I'm sure I will be able to reach the power levels that all the 2.0 FSI engines are putting out with similar upgrades.
Apr kits uses a gt3071r, I'm going to buy the gt3076r so I know at least 450~470 at the crank. I guess I could add a W/M kit to it too. Do feel that's unrealistic?

Thanks for the advice, the internals and clutch will be done by a shop, everything else bolts right on. Do you think 470hp at the crank is a reasonable estimate of what I should be making from the parts you see?

Boy was i dreaming back then lol 😂...well since then the (payed off) 06 gli was totaled by Lil bro and ended up buying a '12 GLI...wasnt going to be able to afford a '13 A5 (which grew on me and I had to have the face lift)........So in two years when the GLI is payed off maybe APR will finally have their b8 kit released and I may buy an A5 post my build....or put a large sum down on a used 08 r8 50k range (in two years) and just enjoy driving that for a few years :) but I def won't be able to afford any upgrades on that.
