this is kind of weird but i noticed my passenger side seat belt has one and a half turns in it instead of just half. this makes it extremely hard for me to get girls to sit comfortably in the seat anyone have any ideas how to get the twist out? would i have to take the seat belt assembly apart?

yea, there should be a bolt like on the floor of the car where the seatbelt runs down to, un bolt that, and it should be smooth sailing, mite need to remove that pillar that the seatbelt runs behind aswell. did that on my honda accord a while ago

its probably twisting in the roller mechanism in the pillar. To do it right you have to take it all apart. I haven't done it, but I suspect that is where the extra turn is.

Audis have Pyrotechnic seatbelts. There are dozens of different types for different years. And each of them will blow off like an airbag if you try to take them apart....its neat to watch, but I wouldnt try it.

Oh wow didn't know that. Well maybe he can take the trim off and see if you can work out the kink?

Don't actually take the roller mechanism apart; you probably couldn't anyway. Try removing the trim and then pull the belt out all of the way. It's probably twisted as it feeds the roller.

is "Pyrotechnic" the trademark audi term for their seatbelt technology? It makes no sense otherwise.

Thats what Audi calls them. They have the same kind of explosive charge in them that airbags have, and when they go off, the pull the seatbelt tight and hold you in place for a matter of milliseconds. The coolest one is a mini Rotory engine....the charge just sets the rotor in motion to wined up the belt. I'll see if I can find some pictures online....to bad I dont have a scanner for books...
