Does Any APR dealers in Ontario have the new CCD flashing tool?

As the subject line reads, I'm looking for any local APR dealer that has the new CCD flashing tool so I can upgrade to the v.2 software on my stage 1 tune!

I've contacted H2 motorsport in Gerogetown as well as anither dealer in Oakville and was advised by both dealers they are not aware or expecting the flashing tool anytime soon??? :(

Any local Ontario residents have their b8 s4 software upgraded locally?? If so please let me know which dealer you went through!

Any help/insight is greatly appreciated! :)

Can't really help you for Ontario dealers per say but I was told by a Quebec dealer that they might be getting it less than two weeks. Hopefully some Ontario dealers are in the same boat.

Hopefully somebody from APR can chime in on this. It's frustrating to say the least as APR won't deal with Canadians directly, I'm almost tempted to change my tune to to another tuner (GIAC or REVO) as more support is available to me locally by their authorized dealers. Don't get my wrong my APR tune works flawlessly, but if none of my local APR dealers have the necessary tools to flash my ECU when or if I need assistance its a very unsetteling feeling incase anything were to go wrong in the future. :(

Hopefully a local vendor gets the flashing tool soon.

I'm not sure why your local dealers don't have the tool, or an ETA, because that's just wrong. Every dealer is required to have the tool to support our customers. I'll have the sales manager get on this first thing monday morning.

H2Sport is on summer vacation, but their rep Joel from Georgetown VW is taking care of some stuff while Tom and other guys are away.
UPS has delivered a CCD unit from APR TODAY, so they will be ready to flash starting next week.

RPI Equipped in Richmond should have it by now. Spoke to them July 10 and the flasing biz was on its way. Don't know of anyone else, Scan Automotive did not have an ETA although I'm sure they will be getting it.
I'm going in for the Stage 2 V2 upgrade soon myself.

Quick update:
went in to Georgetown Volkswagen yesterday to get the ECU flashed. Tom of H2sport is on vacation until August 7th (I believe), but in any case guys at this VW dealership will be doing installs and APR flashes going forward.
My car was the first one they did since the arrival of the CCD tool.
Joel who posted in this thread was coordinating the appointment and work, Ben was the technician who did the work.
After a short hold up and a call to APR he got the ECU to connect to the flashing tool and it went smooth from there.
They will log the car with VAG cable prior to the tune and also offered to come back a week or so after to log again and compare.

Overall, good bunch of guys, nice service and most importantly, APR flash is now done locally in GTA.
So whoever is not afraid of TD1 - give them a call.

oh yeah, Ben also installed my Eurocode SS after the flash. Shortest throw and middle height position. That thing is TIGHT and LOW)) plenty of reviews here already, but I agree with them - great mechanical feeling and haven't missed a gear in a day and a half of aggressive driving trying to help the tune adapt ))

I have no idea what any of my dealers chose to charge for labor as it's not an APR charge. They are independent shops and all do things differently.

Spoke with Joel from Georgetown VW yesterday and he said he does charge for labour 1/2hr if you bring the ECU to him or 1hr-ish if you bring the entire car and they need to remove it.

Tom, as I understand it, is not involved with the installation and/or labour rates for the APR products. All APR sales/labour is now done by the Georgetown VW dealer and I image you will be charged their rates at their discretion.

this is what Joel had told me and this is how I got charged. Invoice was from Georgetown VW, labour of 1 hour but my car's ECU was getting flashed for the very first time.
In previous conversation I was also told that flashing back to stock (in case you want it) will cost $42. I would imaging same rate applies for upgrading to V2.
That dealership's hourly rate is $104.

I had my ECU updated to the v2.0 software at Eurocode Tuning today. It was pretty straight-forward, and no charge for reflashing the ECU (plus a free t-shirt). I did get my original APR flash through Eurocode (and subsequent Stage II upgrade), though...
