So i just finished my turbo swap, got her back together, cranked her a couple times with no fuel pump fuse, last crank the battery terminal sparked, now if i try to start it, it sparks more and just clicks once.

just throwing this up to see if i get any ideas for when i start loooking at it in the AM,
    thanks

Battery terminals were not tightened properly or were too dirty. Remove terminals, clean the connections, and reinstall with them properly secured and it should crank no problem. While just putting the terminal on the battery does transfer power, it is not enough to handle the high cranking amps you need for the starter and this causes the spark and the click no start.

so i tried it this morning, cleaned connections, now when i connect the battery, with no key in the car, stuff starts to turn on, headlights and something in the engine bay, the positive and negative wires get VERY hot, and start to smoke if left on, i do not have enough time to even try the key...

is it a short? or did the starter go or??

Sounds like you have some serious electrical issues. Are you sure that you didn't hook the battery cables up in reverse or do something else goofy by chance?

positive, the car was cranking just fine, then the battery sparked, and it would just click, now somehow overnight it doesnt do anything but burn the battery cables....maybe bad starter? pinched or shorted wire to starter? or bad connections on starter? the two grounds in the car are good.

Well you definitely have a short to ground somewhere. That's why the battery cables are getting so hot. You'll want to disconnect everything and then start tracking down where the short is. Make sure you're really careful because you have the perfect recipe for a really bad fire or battery explosion right now. You might start with the starter wiring since it sounds like that was where the problem started.
