DO NOT FIT!!!!!!!!! on lowered cars. And they would prob barely fit on non lowered cars but it would look like a monster truck.

So much false info on here it's not even funny.

    235/35/19 FTW

I'm running 245/35/19 et33 rear, et38 front. No issues with being a little low but I'm not slammed. I'm sure any bigger and they would rub like crazy.

I run 235/35/19 and I would never dream of going 245/45/19, such a big jump....possibly 235/40/19 for a more comfortable ride perhaps but def not 245/45 lol

your statement is actually completely false because....yes, they do. but you have to take into account offset, wheel width, ride height....im assuming you didnt do enough research to find out that they would not fit on YOUR car. you talk about mis-information yet you are providing it.

Um, no. They will not fit, period. Not drive able atleast and would look ridiculous.

It's comments like this that mislead people. You need to know what you are talking about before you post crap.

No big deal. I just lost my car for a day while they overnighted me some tires and i will just sell the other ones. I just want this post out there so other people wanting a beefier tire look don't make the mistake because if you haven't seen a 45 series in person then you only know what you read on here. And in the end the 35 series looks better in hindsight.

245/35/19 here and they fit perfectly. I feel like you cant say taht 245/45/19 will absolutely not fit on an a4, depending on your drop, and the factors mentioned by doublezero, I would feel that you could run a 45, 35 still sounds ideal though.

First off, you're an idiot for blaming the forum for your failure to research. You have to figure out the best combination of rubber and wheel. What some runs on an ET43 might not be the same for an ET30. Then comes wheel width. You just didn't buy the right setup for your specific wheels. Who clicked "buy"? Not us, so stop blaming AZ for your purchase.

245/35/19 barely fit for me in mine. :) so not sure why anybody would go with a 45 on a 19. I can see a 40 on a 19 but still, it'd be super close.

I don't see why you ordered 245/45/19. I mean are you trying to go off roading with the thing? 45 series are rather high profile tires in relation to the width 245.

if you REALLY want to run 45s on a 19inch wheel, you can make it work (however there is not reason to do this on anything but a 17" wheel, so i dont get the point regardless). as i said, it depends on ride height, offset, wheel width, etc. you clearly dont understand how much variety these three factors can create. again, dont blame the forum for your lack of research and stupidity of believing everything you read on the internetz. at some point you have to use your own brain and not rely on others.

oh, and just a little more re-assurance that you are completely retarded for posting this thread here is a picture of kneel's lowered b6 avant with 245/45/19 (same goddamn chasis dont even say its different than a b7)

If you go to that thread the OP of that pic states those are 245/45/19 again could look different due to wheel width. Good luck selling those tires. I'm surprised your tire shop didn't look at them and wonder how they were going to fit. Although, I'm sure all they saw were $$$$$

ill be more than happy to send him a PM. i have met him multiple times, and he is a extremely nice guy that would never need to/want to/have any reason to lie about something so trivial as to tire size he runs. just because "it doesnt look like it" to you in a picture doesnt mean it isnt....

also, here is 2 more pictures...clearly showing how big the tire is compared to how a 35 series looks:

    compared to 235/35/19

even though i know you still wont admit youre wrong...at least i can show others you are.

I will agree that these are a 245/45/19: (as this is what mine looked like)

BUT THESE have to be a typo by the the OP, no way these are 245/45/19:

AND like I said, they PHYSICALLY FIT, but are NOT DRIVEABLE!

please do. I can admit when Im wrong, just dont think Im wrong. A 245/45/19 on a 19x8.5 is no where close to driveable without shredding the tire and Fn up your fender the first bump you hit.

I have these bad boys on the rear and am running on coilovers which are far from slammed ( as I cant be arsed with ripping the bottom off my pride and joy ) and they do rub on the arch ever soo slightly if there is ANY weight at all in the back seats.

I have them off giving them 3 layers of poorboys wheel sealant. PHEW ! Its hard work ! They are a bastard to clean !

I have 255/35-18 with no rubbing at all. I bet you could do 255/35-19 if you used 19x9's with an offset of at least 38mm. my offset is 42front 37rear

Ya pretty much any xxx/35/19 will work but this guy is arguing xxx/45/19 will work and it's for posts like that, that lead people to believe you can run 45s. And you cant, or you can if you don't plan to drive anywhere or turn lol

In theory you could get xxx/45/19 to work. DEPENDING ON what x=

Say 195/45/19. Since the second number is just the aspect ratio of the first number.

My point was 245/45/19 does NOT work.

I like you Inked but c'mon man, use a little common sense here. There's a reason that so many people run 245/35/19 on here, it fits properly. Did you not stop and think for a second that maybe putting an extra 2+ inches of diameter on each wheel could be a bad idea? You put on a tire with an over 8% larger rolling diameter from stock when most professionals will tell you never to go over 3% and didn't expect any ill effects?

If anything, this should serve as a reminder to take everything we read on forums with a grain of salt. People make typos all the time, sarcasm is often missed, and some people will even tell you things they flat out don't have knowledge on. Just remember, not everything you read on AZ should be taken as fact.

just out of curiosity why would you want to run such a large tire on a (relativley speaking) large rim?
45 is the same profile I have on my stock 17's.. add 2 inches of wheel diameter.. then on lowered suspension

I'm guessing you either wanted to look like a monster truck or you didn't do your wheel/tire fitment homework...

You must have been reading the A6 section of this forum to say people recommend that size for wheels. lol. http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
245x45x19 is way off what the car is supposed to have.
Anyone whos trying to run this on our cars will notice that the speedometer is showing the wrong speed, the car will feel really heavy to drive and it is just wrong.. lol

235x35x19 is the closest you get to the right rolling diameter in 19".
245x45x17 is actually a bit bigger than the OEM as well but it will work.. But on a 19" wheel... No!

OK, I'll ask........ Who said it was a legit size to run?!? A quick search says 245/40 is too much:
